There were previous reports that it would come out on the Xbox One supposedly in December 2015 and the PlayStation 4 one year later, but both did not happen. Subsequently, the reports came out saying that the game would finally arrive at the current generation gaming consoles early this year.
Last week the v254 update to the PC version of “Ark: Survival Evolved” arrived and it introduced new contents to the game including the Tek Tier and four new Dinos, reports iDigital Times.
The objective of the players of the game is to survive being stranded on an island filled with roaming dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals, natural hazards, and potentially hostile human players.
Release date on the gaming consoles
Along with the release of the v254 update and new contents for “[easyazon_link keywords=”Ark: Survival Evolved” locale=”US” tag=”masterherald-20″]Ark: Survival Evolved[/easyazon_link]” on the PC, game publisher Studio Wildcard also announced that the game shall finally be arriving on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One this coming February 14, Valentine’s Day.
The release date was technically revealed shortly after the Tek Tier was delayed to January 30, but gaming critics thought it best to offer a refresh for those who had missed the news or forgotten about it.
In terms of patch notes, the PS4 and Xbox One versions are the exact same version of the PC game despite having different version numbers.
Reports also have it that gamers should expect the game with build v750 for the Xbox One and build v504 for the PlayStation 4 to have all PC equivalent content up and functionality through the v254 build, per pixel painting for survivors, dinos, canvases, and the like, a super-secret new feature, and a primitive+ mega update.
The game publisher assured expecting gamers of “Ark: Survival Evolved” on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One that there will be more updates to be made on the list of inclusions as the official release date draws near.
A closer look on the inclusions
The Tek Tier is mostly for accomplished endgame players, but other survivors can also try out new hairstyle features and tame new beasts.
The Ovis is a passive sheep, the Basilosaurus is a shallow-water dolphin, Baryonyx is a fast-swimming dinosaur, and the Purlovia makes a nice guard dog.
Taming the incredible Ovis sheep provides a slew of benefits for the gamers. It can be ridden without a saddle and climb mountains with relative ease, and the gamer can shear them for a renewable supply of wool that quickly replaces the need for a pelt.
The Ovis even provide a hefty supply of delicious mutton when harvested so it is important for the player to have an Ovis on his base.
But the challenge for the gamer comes with the fact that it is really difficult to track down an Ovis’ location. And once the gamer has found them, he needs to figure out how to tame them, details Game Skinny.
Before the gamer even sets out to find an Ovis, he should prepare the food needed to tame the sheep. It turns out Ovis will only befriend a gamer if he offers them a piece of sweet vegetable cake.
No matter in what level of “Ark: Survival Evolved” the wild Ovis is, one sweet vegetable cake is all he needs to fully tame the sheep.
If the gamer does not have a garden, it’s time to make one. Craft and plop down a few farm plots and plant Rockarrots, Longrass, and Savoroot.
He would need two for each cake. The rest is a matter of collecting the ingredients and throwing them into the cooking pot or industrial cooker.
