Japanese game developer Capcom has already announced that “Resident Evil 7,” the 11th game in its survival horror video game franchise, shall be hitting the PC, the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PlayStation VR on January 24, 2017.
Officially titled as “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” the game is now available for pre-order and download on the Microsoft gaming console.
As a bonus to Xbox One gamers for pre-ordering “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard,” they will also receive “Survival Pack: Recovery Set” via download. Xbox One gamers can download either the standard version of the game, without the “Survival Pack” or the deluxe edition, which includes the “Survival Pack” as well as a Season Pass, details MS Power User.
Based on the synopsis of the upcoming game, “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” marks a new beginning for survival horror with the reported ‘isolated view’ of the visceral first-person perspective.
The game would be powered by RE engine and gamers would surely be treated to superb excitement as horror reaches incredible heights of immersion when they enter a terrifying new world of fear even as they fight their way out and survive.
No demo trailer for Xbox One still
The special promo for Xbox One gamers is viewed by critics as a make-up of Capcom on the fact that up until this time, only a PlayStation 4 demo trailer is available for “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.”
The “Resident Evil 7: Beginning Hour” demo on the PlayStation 4 has been given an update that opens up more of the derelict plantation mission.
In addition, the Twilight version update is currently rolling out on the PlayStation 4, which shall reportedly expand on what players can do and explore in the game. Players are hoping that the new trailer will solve the mystery of the dummy finger shown in a previous teaser.
Capcom has yet to come out with an official statement regarding an Xbox One demo ahead of the release of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” in January next year.
Instead, the Japanese game developer attempted to soften the blow by releasing a terrifying new trailer that introduces gamers to the Baker family, reports the Express of UK.
The developer also revealed that the demo has already been downloaded more than three million times, despite previously being available only for PlayStation Plus subscribers on the PlayStation 4.
Set in rural America
“Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” is set after the events of “Resident Evil 6,” taking place in modern-day and revolving around a foreboding, derelict plantation mansion in rural America.
Gamers need to explore and survive the horrors within the mysterious, sprawling estate when the game launches on January 24 next year.
Capcom has made the official announcement about the release date of “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard” during the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2016 held in Los Angeles, California in June.
Latest reports have it that the game got an M rating as posted on the ESRB website. M stands for mature, which may have something to do with the reported pretty intense-sounding graphic violence in “Resident Evil 7: Biohazard.”
The same reports are also saying that the game shall contain a heavy amount of combat where players will use weapons like pistols, shotguns, flamethrowers, explosives, and chainsaws against mutated creatures.
It is actually a big change in the type of player weaponry compared to the ax that was included in the “Resident Evil 7: The Beginning Hour” demo.
The violence of the game will be pretty gory as it shall include dismemberment by chainsaw and shovel. There is also a scene showing a shovel getting impaled through a character’s face.
In addition, there will be areas that include mangled corpses with guts hanging out, exposed to the whole world. In addition, there will be plenty of curses in the game so those who do not want their ears to be debased, they should be ready with their earplugs.
