Pop superstar Adam Lambert showcased his Jewish beliefs as he toured key parts of Israel recently that are associated with religion.
The “Ghost Town” singer made the tour before his performance with the Queen in Tel Aviv, the capital city of Israel.
It seems like Lambert arrived in the country earlier than his scheduled performance with the Queen so he took time off to make the tour, notes the Times of Israel.
From his Instagram posts, it seems that Adam Lambert was fully taken with his trip of Israel. He shared photos from his tour including those taken in Jerusalem’s Old City and a moment of silent prayer at the Western Wall. He also shared a picture showing him in a sulky pose in front of the Western Wall plaza.
Lambert also visited the ‘Entrance to Jesus’ Tomb’ which is also called as the Church of the Holy Sepulchre.
As expected, Adam Lambert wowed Israelis when he performed with the Queen in Tel Aviv during their historic concert in the country. He also shared a photo on Instagram showing himself holding a chalice while performing with the Queen during their concert, notes the Jewish Telegraphic Agency.
Breeding a new generation of artists
Adam Lambert is a great music artist but it never occurred to him that he has bred a new generation of artists as well from among his fans.
But they are not music artists like him but artists who prefer to dabble on drawings and paintings of their music idol, mostly using digital artwork technology. They are actually considered as one of the most dedicated groups of fans out there and they have called themselves as the ‘Glamberts.’
They are not just located in one part of the world like the US but all over the entire spectrum of the globe.
To show his appreciation to the great talents of the members of ‘Glamberts,’ Adam shared a good number of fan arts featuring himself to his personal Instagram account and critics were one in saying that they do look great pieces of art.
An outlet even took time out to interview some of the members of ‘Glamberts’ coming from Saudi Arabia, Argentina, the Netherlands, Australia, the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Syria, Germany, Ukraine, USA, and Russia.
One of those artists said that Adam Lambert has brought out the best in her and also peace to her mind and soul.
Another one was quoted as saying that Adam is the reason why she picked up the pencil again because the “Ghost Town” singer was right never to give up and listen to ignorant people. She adds that Adam is a true inspiration and a very pure and sweet guy which is why ‘Glamberts’ love him for who he is. She adds that being who you are is a lot easier than faking it.
Honoring Freddie Mercury
September 5 marked the birthday of iconic Queen lead singer Freddie Mercury. Before Mercury’s birthday, Adam Lambert posted a video for something he calls as the 7070 Campaign in order to help the ‘Freddie for a Day’ project.
The ‘Freddie for a Day’ project is a brainchild in 2010 of the Mercury Phoenix Trust, founded by Brian May, Roger Taylor and their manager Jim Beach in memory of Freddie Mercury who died in 1991 from AIDS.
It is a day held every year on September 5 to help fight AIDS worldwide. During the celebration of ‘Freddie for a Day,’ people are encouraged to celebrate the life of the iconic Queen lead vocalist by dressing as Freddie in order to raise awareness and funds for the Mercury Phoenix Trust for its noble cause against AIDS.
Adam Lambert’s 7070 Campaign had the objective of telling people that they can help raise 70 pounds, dollars, euros, or yen in the lead up to Freddie Mercury’s 70th birthday on September 5.
