MTV is getting ready for the final season of “Teen Wolf” and rumor has it that Cody Christian’s Theo Racken will be part of Scott’s pack.
Fans will remember that Theo was one of Season 5’s big bad. In the finale, he was literally dragged to hell by his sister, the one he had killed when they were little so he could take her heart and become a chimera.
Despite being one of the bad guys, Theo has been a fan-favorite and executive producer Jeff Davis said that his fate in Season 5 was deliberately left open-ended because fans really wanted him to come back.
During the show’s panel at the San Diego ComicCon, the rumors were put to rest at Cody appeared along with the cast members of the show, confirming his return on the final season of the MTV hit show.
In an interview with Zap2it, Cody said that fans will still be seeing the same Theo but his character will now have a bit of compassion after his harrowing experience in hell.
The 21-year-old actor says that fans will see a new side of his character. He says that Theo’s still that guy everyone hates but there’s going to be this level of humanity towards him now.
Cody adds that Theo will also have a huge amount of guilt he’s forcing to swallow hence he’ll be more vulnerable when he returns to Beacon Hills.
Speaking to TV Line, Cody says that when Theo comes back to Beacon Hills, he’s just grateful to be alive. He’s figuring out what is important to him and is going down the path of redemption.
Christian says that it will be a different story of Theo knowing Scott’s persona in the final 20 episodes so he’s really excited for fans to see his changed character.
There are reports saying that as difficult as Theo getting any pardon from Scott’s pack, it looks like they will be needing his help.
Given the threat of the Nazi werewolf and the Ghost Riders, Scott’s pack will definitely need all the help they could get.
Meanwhile, Season 6 will also focus on Stiles and Lydia’s relationship. The pair, played by Dylan O’Brien and Holland Roden, respectively, will finally get together in the show’s final season.
A lot of fans have been wishing for Stiles and Lydia to finally take their relationship to the next level. Jeff teased fans saying that ‘Stydia’ shippers will really enjoy Season 6.
The connection between Stiles and Lydia have long been established during Season 3 when they were revealed to be each other’s emotional tether. Their relationship was furthered explored in Season 5 when Stiles saved Lydia in Eichen House.
The sixth and final season of “Teen Wolf” will air on November 15 on MTV. Compared to previous premiere dates which were scheduled in June, the show had to adjust for O’Brien to fully recover from his injuries.
The “Maze Runner” star had an accident on the set of the film’s third installment. Filming had to be put to a halt for Dylan’s recuperation.
The actor has been spotted on the set in recent weeks indicating that he’s already fully recovered and is already back to work.
Davis announced that it will be the show’s final season during the recently held ComicCon. He says that the series finale will mark the show’s 100th episode and the cast and the writer believe that it will be the perfect way to close the series.
The final season will focus on the final months of Scott and the gang as seniors in Beacon Hills High School. Scott will also be single in Season 6 as Kira will not be returning after her venture with the Skinwalkers.
