‘Arrow’ Season 5 to See Felicity Smoak Grappling with the Deaths of Thousands in the Havenrock Blast!

The first nine episodes of Season 5 of the American superhero drama TV series “Arrow” shall focus on Felicity Smoak, played by Emily Bett Rickards, grapple with the deaths of thousands in the Havenrock blast due to a nuclear missile.

It could be recalled that during the chaotic end of the “Arrow” Season 4 finale, Felicity decided to save Monument Point from a nuclear fallout. However, she redirected the missile to the little town of Havenrock, which also caused the deaths of its citizens numbering to a couple of thousands.

According to showrunner Wendy Mericle, who made the explanation during the San Diego ComicCon, the catastrophe shall be sticking to Felicity for a while.

Mericle said that in the beginning of Season 5, she will deal with the fallout from what happened at Havenrock and it will be the huge focus for her in the first nine episodes, details Zap2it.

It will cause Felicity to do some serious soul-searching which shall also come on the heels of her being ousted from her own company.

It is likely that she will draw strength from Oliver Queen, a.k.a. the Green Arrow, played by Stephen Amell, which could be the reason why fans and critics are saying that there could be a rekindling of romance for ‘Olicity’ in Season 5.

Rather than focus on getting back her post at Palmer Tech, many are saying that Felicity might just help out Oliver Queen in forming and strengthening a new Team Arrow, which was largely decimated last season in the fight against Damien Darhk, played by Neal McDonough.

Turning vigilantes into heroes

Consistent with Oliver’s goals to rebuild Team Arrow, there are reports saying that he will turn vigilantes into heroes in Season 5 of “Arrow,” due to return to The CW on October 5, reports The CW Springfield.

Incidentally, in addition to the spoilers presented by cast members and showrunners during the San Diego ComicCon, the first official trailer for “Arrow” Season 5 was also presented which had fans almost screaming with delight that they can hardly contain their excitement for Season 5 of the popular TV series.

Reports have it that a new Vigilante will be one of two major characters coming in the upcoming Season 5 of “Arrow” when it returns.

Based on the comic books, the Vigilante is the alter ego of Star City District Attorney Adrian Chase who is more of a law-and-order guy under interim mayor Oliver Queen. But it is not clear if he is going to be for the cause of Team Arrow or against it.

It is well known in the TV series that the Green Arrow takes justice in an extra-judicial fashion which the Vigilante may find not to his legal mantra. However, given his moniker, it is also possible that he would share the brand of justice of the man in the green hood.

Letting the Wild Dog out

In addition, there are also reports saying that Wild Dog could also be featured in Season 5 of “Arrow.”

Wild Dog is also a DC Comics superhero whose first comics came out in 1987 and his power is not really supernatural but guns. Wild Dog is more like a gunslinger and knows his way around with guns.

The character is also a vigilante but very well-loved by people because he likes to clean up the streets of lawless elements. His character may also be for Team Arrow or against it depending on how the showrunners would like it to be.

Arrow Season 4

His alter ego is Jack Wheeler who was able to go to college because of a football scholarship. He had to drop out later following an injury and he enlisted with the US Marines only to see all his friends dying from a terrorist bomb. He went back home and worked as a mechanic. He also fell in love with a woman who was unfortunately gunned down in a seemingly random shooting. He later learned that it was a hit that was orchestrated by his father who was a member of the mob.

That was when Jack snapped and lost it all so he turned to become Wild Dog.
