Miami Heat’s shot-blocking center Hassan Whiteside is now the best shot blocker of all time in the basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” following its recent roster update last week, reports Design & Trend.
The January roster update to “NBA 2K16” brought some big changes in player ratings and the biggest among whom is that of Hassan Whiteside who now has a 100% rating for blocking, which is a tribute to his being the league’s premier shot blocker these days.
It was actually game publisher 2K Sports who declared Whiteside as the best shot blocker of all time.
In addition to Whiteside, other players who saw significant improvements on their respective rating include DeMarcus Cousins of the Sacramento Kings, Isiah Thomas of the Boston Celtics, Kemba Walker of Charlotte Hornets, Tyreke Evans of the New Orleans Pelicans, Marc Gasol of the Memphis Grizzlies, J.J. Reddick of the Los Angeles Clippers, and Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.
As much as there are gainers in rating, there were also those who suffered rating decline with the highest being experienced by Kevin Love of the Cleveland Cavaliers as he lost three points. Pau Gasol of the Chicago Bulls was the second in the list, losing two points. The others who lost one point apiece in their respective rating include Andre Drummond of the Detroit Pistons, Kawhi Leonard of the San Antonio Spurs, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers, and Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks.
The latest roster update also featured LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers keeping his 95 overall rating after getting a one-point increase.
With the excellent showing of the New York Knicks in the current regular season, the rating of Carmelo Anthony and rookie sensation Kristaps Porzingis also got one-point increases and now stand at 88 and 80 points, respectively.
Plenty of in-game improvements
Along with the recent roster update, 2K Sports also brought in-game improvements to “NBA 2K16” including Face Scan in the PC version, and the usual locker codes.
For the first time in the basketball simulation video game franchise, players can now take a picture of themselves and then upload their faces onto an NBA player’s body.
The feature was previously available for gaming consoles only but it is now available for PC gamers too. But it would require Intel’s RealSense camera to work. The latest camera technology is only available on the latest laptops and 2-in-1 devices, details the Gospel Herald.
The new locker codes enable gamers to buy their favorite basketball gears and also earn virtual currencies.
December locker codes
The locker codes to the basketball simulation video game “NBA 2K16” released in December last year gave gamers the opportunity to bring NBA superstar greats like Michael Jordan, Karl Malone, Larry Bird, Isaiah Thomas, and Shaquille O’Neal to the game.
They can also get the opportunity to get current NBA sensation LeBron James of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Paul George of the Indiana Pacers.
Once the players have obtained the locker codes, they can just use it to go to Options and then clicking on Features before clicking on Locker Codes.
In addition to the NBA greats, one of the new locker codes shall reportedly bring to the players reigning NBA Most Valuable Player Stephen Curry of the defending champion and league-leading Golden State Warriors.
Those incentives are really great for the NBA fanatics and enthusiasts but since game developer Visual Concepts and publisher 2K Sports want to cover the entire spectrum of “NBA 2K16” gamers, the new locker codes to the basketball simulation video game can also bring Marvel-themed apparels for the playable characters of gamers.
