There are various interesting rumors going around regarding the next episodes of “Criminal Minds”, and as it usually happens with shows that go on a mid-season break, fans are expecting to see a lot once the production resumes. Indeed, there are various potential developments that can occur in the very next episode which could immediately strike the interest of fans, but it’s difficult to say which of them the producers are going to go with exactly, as they definitely have a lot on their plate right now and they must be finding it a bit difficult to balance all of the plot developments that they want to implement.
When the next episode airs in January, it could come with a major development centered on Dr. Spencer Reid – it’s rumored that he will manage to wipe out The Dirty Dozen, although we aren’t sure exactly how he would go about that. There are also claims that Dr. Reid could find himself in a peculiar situation related to his romantic life, as a date turns out to be something much more dangerous and puts him in a compromising situation.
Not only will that date put the life of Dr. Reid himself at risk, but it will also jeopardize other guests at the restaurant they’re visiting, from what it seems, so it could be quite the tense scene. We trust the writers of this show to come up with a creative way to “help” the Doctor deal with this problem, but on the other hand we don’t expect that it will be too easy for him either.
In addition to the above, the new episode could see a conclusion to the problems that Garcia has been going through, as this was hinted in some initial previews for the episode. It’s not quite clear what the outcome will be, and it remains a mystery if it will be a positive one for her or not – but after all, it wouldn’t make much sense for the producers to spoil that part of the plot too early. She could be the catalyst behind the events with The Dirty Dozen, from what it seems, and it would be interesting to see what the writers are planning for her character.
This will all come from Dr. Reid’s actions, apparently, or at least that’s what the synopsis for the new episode implies. How exactly will he manage to not only escape his predicament, but also take down The Dirty Dozen? We guess we’ll have to wait until the new episode airs to find out, but the show could get quite interesting once it returns from its midseason pause. And it would make sense for the producers to put more effort into making it exciting too, as after ten and a half seasons, some fans have started to complain about certain plot elements to some extent, and the show does need a fresh kick in order to get things back on the right track.
But at the same time, there’s no denying that the producers of “Criminal Minds” have done a great job preserving their core audience throughout those seasons and keeping mostly everyone happy. It’s not very easy to maintain a show on such a high level once it gets past a certain point, but this series has been enjoying a mostly great run so far. Because of this, we are positive that it will see even more interesting developments in the future.
