Arrow Season 4’s upcoming episode will see Team Arrow split in half for separate, yet equally important adventures.
The third episode titled “Restoration” will see Thea, played by Willa Holland, and Laurel, played by Katy Cassidy, head back to the infamous island of Nanda Parbat in a mission to know how the Lazarus pit is causing Thea’s unlikely behavior.
Laurel also has another ulterior motive to see the pit and that is to resurrect her sister Sara who died over a year ago after being shot by an arrow by a brainwashed Thea.
According to the episode’s synopsis, Caity Lotz is set to return to reprise her role as Sara Lance, who is also known as the original Black Canary. This will also serve as a kick start plot for her character in the upcoming The CW series “Legends of Tomorrow.”
“Legends of Tomorrow” is a spin-off of “Arrow” and “The Flash” and tells the story of Rip Hunter, played by Arthur Darvill, as he travels back in present day and gathers a team of heroes and villains in an attempt to stop the immortal Vandal Savage, played by Casper Crump, to destroy the world.
“Arrow” characters such as Lotz’ Sara Lance, in her White Canary alter ego this time, will be one of the show’s lead along with Brandon Routh’s Ray Palmer also known as A.T.O.M. “Legends of Tomorrow” is set to premiere next year.
With Nanda Parbat being in the picture, this means that the new Ra’s Al Ghul, in the form of Malcolm Merlyn, will welcome the two ladies. Malcolm will also have to break down things for Thea about the effect of her resurrection from the pit.
As per TV Spot, the new leader of the League of Assassins might return to Star City and try to be a good father to Thea.
The International Business Times reports that John Barrowman’s character will make a comeback during the upcoming episode, but it looks like Thea and Laurel’s other intention of flying to the League will cause them some disagreements with Merlyn.
TV Guide also confirms that Nyssa, played by Katrina Law, will also make a guest appearance in the episode. Nyssa is the daughter of the former leader of the League of Assassins.
The synopsis suggests that Nyssa won’t be in favor as well of Laurel’s idea to bring her sister back to life as she fears that the effects of the pit might be worse on Sara than Thea as the latter was resurrected just hours before Ra’s stabbed her to death.
Meanwhile back in Star City, Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen and David Ramsay’s Diggle will be forced to work hand in hand as they have to battle another meta-human that’s threatening the city on behalf of this season’s big bad, Neal McDonough’s Damien Darhk.
TV Guide reports that Darhk and his evil organization known as H.I.V.E. will hire a new mercenary in an attempt to stop the other half of Team Arrow.
The episode will serve as the introduction of the new bad guy this season, Double Down. The villain, based on the DC comic book, will be played by “Teen Wolf” star JR Bourne.
According to TV Spot, The CW hit show will bring the comic book character of Jeremy Tell to life on screen. Bourne’s Double Down, also known as Jeremy Tell, is a meta-human primarily associated with The Flash, but will drop by Star City to wreak havoc.
Unfortunately, the growing tension between John and Oliver only makes matters worse for them and the city. Producers say the unlikely and cold relationship of Diggle and Oliver won’t be seeing a resolution anytime soon. According to the synopsis, their unresolved issues will put both their lives at risk.
