Ridley Scott wanted Prometheus to be a solo flick. However, the renowned director recently confirmed the storyline for volume two of the title. This time, the storyline has been rewritten entirely, removing the Xenomorphs and alien characters from the plot. The storyline is currently being kept under wraps and even Noomi Rapace, who plays the protagonist Elizabeth Shaw, is unaware of the entire storyline.
Rapace was recently asked to share her insights about Prometheus 2, and she explained that she has little information regarding the character, herself. Shaw has always been motivated by finding Paradise, as the answers that she is seeking are unavailable on Earth. After the creatures attacked Earth in the first installment, Shaw is hell-bent on figuring out the answers that lead to Paradise.
However, the creatures might not have come from Paradise, but they could still hold the answers that Shaw is looking for. Hence, she is out on a mission to find that out for herself. Shaw was the only one to make it out in one piece in the first installment – excluding Michael Fassbender’s David, who barely made it out.
Hence, she is, without a doubt, the protagonist of Prometheus 2. Fans have been waiting for Rapace to make a formal announcement regarding her role in the upcoming title, although, there have been no such reports so far. When Rapace was asked to comment on her character, she said, “I know that [Ridley] Scott will get us there eventually, although, I am currently unaware of what is going on inside his head. He is a tough guy to crack, and if he doesn’t want you to know the plot, you might as well stop persuading him.”
Rapace revealed her thoughts about Prometheus back in early 2013, and she said that the movie had an immense effect on her, as well as numerous other fans who watched it. She said, “Most people that I have talked to about the movie, have found numerous hidden facts that even I had failed to notice.”
“People that have watched the movie over and over again have discovered quite a few interesting aspects and conversations. There are numerous other discoveries to be made too. Hence, the second installment is being anticipated, even though there are no official confirmations at the moment.” She had said.
