Constantine Season 2 Is not Coming but That’s not the End of Constantine Himself

“Constantine” had a fun season while it lasted, but the show simply was not meant to be – it was eventually cancelled for good and at this point it’s definitely not coming back. There were various attempts to revive it, and there were also rumors that another network might pick up the production and bring it back to the screen, but in the end fans had to accept the fact that they won’t be seeing their favorite character on the screen anymore.

Or at least that’s what they thought – it now seems that this is not quite the case, as even though the show itself has been canceled, the character of Constantine is not quite off the screen for good yet. There have been reports that he will be making an appearance in another show – “Arrow” – as a link between the two productions, and fans will get to enjoy another moment with their favorite character as some consolation.

Constantine will be played by Matt Ryan once again and there will be no changes to the character’s personality, so those who’ve been missing him and itching for at least one more episode with him are going to get a special treat once the special new episode of “Arrow” airs. From what we’ve heard so far, the appearance is currently only planned for one episode and there are no reports indicating that Constantine will return to “Arrow” in the future, but of course it’s a TV show with a flexible plot and schedule so anything is possible.

His introduction into the show will be tied to the change in setting that “Arrow” saw recently, as the show now features elements of magic and the occult, exactly the kind of background that Constantine needs to do his thing. With that in mind, we wouldn’t be surprised if the producers did decide to give him another shot in a later episode if things work out fine, and we definitely expect that this episode is going to get a lot of attention from many sides.

After all, it will bring over many fans of “Constantine” to the new production, and some have called this very clever marketing. It might turn out that many people who enjoyed the original show could also find “Arrow” fun as they share some common elements, but of course the general premise is not quite the same so it’s hard to say where things will turn next.

Other than that, the new season of “Arrow” is shaping up to be full of interesting surprises, and the producers really are ramping up the drama and tension in the production. There have been reports that they are trying to make the new season a bit darker and more unsettling for fans, and the introduction of magic could definitely play into that by quite a lot. On the other hand, some fans have been worried that this might take the show away from its original idea and make it a bit less interesting to its original fans.

Arrow Season 4

It’s too early to make such statements though, as “Arrow” is a show that has gone through a lot and its producers know a thing or two about running the show in a way that pleases their fans. If they decide to introduce any changes, they would obviously be carefully thought out in order to please fans as much as possible, instead of rushing into decisions that could have a harmful effect on the production as a whole.
