Despite nagging rumors that she was bitter, like any woman would, for divorcing a husband of 24 years, in favor of another woman whom she shares household with, Meri Barber is debunking notions of negativity with her decision.
While she did admit that there were mixed emotions on her part when she and Kody Brown divorced late last year because she felt like it was the end of an era, Meri said that she knows that it’s not the end for her and Kody. She says that she already has an eternity with Kody, whom she is spiritually married to despite their divorce.
Meri also added that she already has eternity with the family so she knows that it’s not the end for her, for Kody, or for their family, notes Christian Today.
So when Season 6 of the reality TV series “Sister Wives” returns to TLC in January next year, it is unlikely that fans of the show would see a bitter Meri Barber because she was happy with the tough decision she made.
Meri also denied rumors that she and Robyn Sullivan, the youngest, and the new wife of Kody Brown, were having a feud because if the feud is true, she would not be giving up Kody for her.
As a matter of fact, one of the main reasons why Meri decided to divorce Kody was to allow him to adopt Robyn’s three children from a previous marriage.
Changes in the household
There will be plenty of changes in the household of Kody Brown when “Sister Wives” returns to TLC early next year for its sixth season, notes Crossmap.
And because Kody now has Robyn Sullivan as his official wife, there will be certain shifts in the dynamics in the polygamous family. With Robyn already pregnant with his second child by Kody, it is likely that the Brown patriarch will focus much of his attention to the upcoming birth of the 18th member of their family, which accordingly is due on January 7, 2016.
While former wife Meri Barber and third wife Christine took to Twitter to state their congratulatory messages to Robyn on her upcoming baby, second wife Janelle hardly offered any reaction to the pregnancy. She just retweeted Christine’s post and did not offer any personal message of congratulations to Kody and Robyn.
Janelle, typical of her character from the previous seasons of “Sister Wives,” has always been against changes or restructuring in the household. She was the first to react or opposed when Meri announced her decision to divorce Kody so that the couple could legally adopt the three children of Robyn by her first marriage.
Kody’s second wife admitted that she has never been so great with change. She said that she does not know what she’s in for and that she is worried that it would change the dynamic.
Despite her apprehension on the Kody-Meri divorce last year, she was ultimately convinced by Kody to support the process because it is for a good cause.
Interesting plotlines coming up
Other than rumors about Meri Barber leaving the show because she allegedly can no longer hack a polygamous lifestyle, there is really nothing quite specific about what fans could expect when “Sister Wives” returns on TLC next year for its Season 6.
It looks like there is now something definite that fans of the show could look forward to when “Sister Wives” returns to the small screens as Robyn Sullivan Brown, the fourth, and newly-wedded wife of Kody Brown is now pregnant with their second child together.
Robyn and Kody actually confirmed the pregnancy during a recent interview with People magazine. The couple did not specify the exact delivery date of Robyn, but she was apparently sporting a sizeable baby bump during the exclusive interview with People magazine.
And it looks likely that Robyn will give birth at about the time when Season 6 of “Sister Wives” is back on TV, giving the show an instant and exciting new plot which fans could really look forward to.
I always feel so sorry for Janelle and Christine the way they are treated. Polygamy is wonderful if people are treated fairly and with respect.
This needs to be the Robin Brown Show. Robin set out from day one to be THE Queen Bee of that show. Even though the other three are far more interesting than Robin constantly whining about her stupid jewelry, Robin has managed to convince TLC and dumb Kody that it really is all about her. She makes no bones about how she feels so mistreated because the others aren’t supporting her little childish dream. Perhaps they have sense enough not to get in a huge financial mess chasing rainbows? Glad she uses her baby making parts to hold on to TLC. Frankly. I don’t find them appealing enough to watch another season of the Robin Brown Show.
Of course Mari will not say anything negative.. These women have been programed by their religion to suffer..Its required to get into heaven.OR where ever it is they think they will go.
Its sad to see women believe in a religion made by men, for men. Taught to
endure and sacrifice the wonderful closeness that women would love to have in a marriage, to the kind of dream world a man wants. Which is to freely have sex with more than one woman. And fall in love over and over.
And never have to spend too much time standing still for any one woman’s problems.
Must be nice to build a religion around such selfishness.
Sad..
I feel really sad watching this tv show reflecting only selfishness of one man and suffering of 4 women , hate kody
Why is Meri going by a different last name?
Why does Robyn get a business that does nothing but burn savings but the other wives get there ideas shot down? Sadly unfair. Can’t Kody see this?
I don’t see how any of the 4 find Cody good looking or a sexy stud. He is very egotistical, only thinks about himself, and his opinion is the only one that matters. Done with the show, Robyn Brown (because it is no longer Sister Wives) can have her show, what they have done, was not a wise decision.
Without Robyn’s love and youthful energy, the family would have been doomed.
The shtf finally. Notyetbatman was a surprise to many, especially me. Meri has shown tremendous strength and I admire her to no end. Can’t even begin to image what she’s been through over this. She needs to heal, she needs kindness and forgiveness and I hope she gets it in abundance. Meri is a wonderful woman. Bless her.
