Grey’s Anatomy Season 12 Brings Ben Warren as a Regular Character!

With about three months to go until it returns to the screen, we’ve been getting lots of hints about “Grey’s Anatomy” and what we can expect in the new season of the show. It looks like fans will get quite the treat with the new episodes, as the producers of the show have been preparing a great new season for them, and it definitely sounds like they aren’t rushing their jobs just for the sake of getting the episodes out sooner.

The show will see some changes to its cast, and these include some positive news such as the permanent addition of Jason George. His character, Ben Warren, will become a regular on the show after season 12 arrives, and he might have a very interesting role that has been due on the show for some time.

The actor officially confirmed this himself last month, and he seemed quite excited to be on board the show as a more permanent addition. We don’t know exactly what storylines are going to revolve around him, but we definitely expect to see some interesting developments now that he’s in the picture more regularly.

The only thing that has been confirmed so far is that he’ll be moving back to Seattle from Los Angeles in order to follow Miranda Bailey, and he gets himself in a fifth intern position. It’s not his first time playing a doctor on the screen, so he is one of the better choices for a new permanent character on the show, and we certainly can’t blame the producers for choosing him.

April and Jackson Avery will be trying to rebuild their relationship and attempting to “find their way back to one another”, after the way season 11 ended – this was revealed by Sarah Drew who plays the role of April Kepner on the show. The two have been dealing with a lot of stress after the death of their son, and this has caused a huge rift in their relationship, followed by April’s confession to Jackson that she wanted to get back into the army.

Jackson agreed with her and told her that she should go if she wanted to, but he was not prepared to wait for her to come back. She seemed a bit surprised at his reaction, and asked him to confirm whether the relationship would be over if she left. The episode – and season – ended on a cliffhanger, but Drew did reassure fans that the romance between the two is far from over.

They’re apparently on a sort of a temporary break as they’re both reevaluating what they want, and now that April has been given an ultimatum in the relationship, the writers have enough room to determine the best course of action for the next season. Drew seemed hopeful that the two are going to get back together, and that the writers will find a way to sort out their issues.

Of course, that’s not guaranteed, especially in a show with as much drama in its plot in general as “Grey’s Anatomy”, and it’s entirely possible that they will stay split up, or their relationship might even deteriorate more. It’s not the most lighthearted show when it comes to romance, after all.

It’s also been rumored that April might become chief, as Dr. Owen Hunt is retiring from the post – however, the question is whether or not she actually wants to do that, and it seems like she’s a bit too reluctant to go for it at the moment.
