Game developer Digital Illusions Creative Entertainment (DICE) has debuted the multiplayer version of the gameplay demo of the first-person shooter video game “Star Wars: Battlefront 3” on the PlayStation 4 in the recently-concluded Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015 and all those who witnessed it were both excited and impressed by it.
On June 24, a similar gameplay demo was posted on the Twitter account of “Star Wars: Battlefront 3” but only this time, it was for the PC and it looks equally superb.
The game looks like a Star Wars movie battle but from the point of view of a first-person camera. It contains the bombastic actions and all the chaotic but otherwise intimate and human focus that a Star Wars video game needs.
It is relentless as much as it is nerve-wracking on the part of gamers and it sure to draw in the avid fans and players when it is officially rolled out to the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC on November 17.
The difference
Game publisher EA certainly picked the perfect time to showcase the gameplay demo of “Star Wars: Battlefront 3” as it only added excitement to fans and gamers on watching the upcoming movie “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when it officially hits theaters worldwide on December 18, 2015.
The 5:16 gameplay trailer showed the resistance battling Imperial forces on the icy planet of Hoth including walkers both on the ground and onboard a fighter ship. It concluded with a glimpse of Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker starting to battle with their lightsabers.
The game is actually the third in a series of similarly-titled video games that is why it is being referred to by gamers as “Star Wars: Battlefront 3.” In reality however, the game’s official title is “Star Wars: Battlefront” and it is technically different from the first two video games.
The other major difference as far as EA is concerned is the fact that during the first two games of the series, the publisher initially made the single-player gameplay demo on the PC before showing it off on the gaming consoles. But this time, it took a different approach by showcasing the multiplayer version first on the PlayStation 4 before unravelling it on the PC, notes VG 24/7.
Multiplayer maps
“Star Wars: Battlefront 3” will also have 12 multiplayer maps spread across the four planets of Hoteh, Endor, Tatooine, and Sullust and shall be available upon launch.
Reports also have it that the game will have a free DLC based on “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” movie which will come simultaneous with the release of the film.
The developer recently shared the details of the customization and graphics of the game which are currently being created by the development team of “Star Wars: Battlefront” based primarily on the Star Wars universe.
The customization option of the game will extend most of the features of “Star Wars: Battlefront” including various character heads, loadouts, emotes, bikes, and weapons.
