Rick Pasqualone, voice actor for the Vito Scaletta character in the third-peson shooter Triple A video game “Mafia” series, has been taking the cudgels on behalf of game developer 2K Czech and game publisher 2K Games in quenching the thirst of fans and gamers for information about the third installment of the video game, “Mafia 3.”
Before the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) 2015, Pasqualone has been saying that the game developer would reveal something about the “Mafia 3” during the event.
Subsequently, rumors circulated that 2K Czech would release the teaser trailer of “Mafia 3” at the E3 2015. But as everyone later found out, there was no announcement, reveal, and most of all, teaser trailer that saw the light of day at the recently-concluded E3 2015. And fans were back to the internet to search for the latest news or information, rumor or otherwise, about “Mafia 3.”
Perhaps in an effort to redeem himself for previously hinting that 2K Czech would reveal “Mafia 3” game details during the E3, 2015, Rick Pasqualone decided to take the cudgels again on behalf of the developer to answer fan questions and queries about the highly-anticipated video game on his Twitter account.
Based on his recent tweets, it looks like Pasqualone has either shed more light on the upcoming release of “Mafia 3” on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, and the PC or has set of new rounds of speculations about the video game.
But until 2K Czech comes out with an official statement or announcement as regards the official release date of “Mafia 3” on the gaming consoles and the PC, every information about the video game going around the internet or other media these days are merely speculations.
New characters
Some leaked reports point out that the action-packed “Mafia 3” will have three new characters joining protagonists Joe and Vito. It is said that the new characters are actually based on three real-life characters, namely Franklin, Tony, and Mickey.
The leak actually came from a report stating that 2K is calling for casting for an untitled video game that includes the descriptions of the three new characters.
Franklin is reportedly an African American who was born in Louissiana. He is in his early 20s, about six feet tall and has a muscular build. He is depicted as an outsider to both white and black society but is fiercely loyal to those whom he considers as his family. He is also street-smart, strong, disciplined, and knows how to get a job done.
Tony, who is also born in Louissiana, is of Italian descent. He is in his early 30s, thin, well-groomed and dresses very neatly. He is also calm but he is said to be capable of resorting to violence if anyone gets his ire.
Mickey is also born in Louissiana. He is said to be in his late teens or early 20s with an average build. He is described to be a talker, someone who likes to talk big but cannot back it up with real actions. He also has a bad habit of taking credit for bigger jobs even though he was not part of it or hardly was part of it.
Long wait
“Mafia 3” will be coming out some six years after its predecessor “Mafia 2” was released on the PlayStation 3, the Xbox 360, and the PC in August 2010.
It actually took 2K Czech eight years to release “Mafia 2” from the time it rolled out the first game in the series officially titled “Mafia: The City of Lost Heaven” in 2002.
