New Patch Gives Old Lady Blanche a New Level of Brutality in ‘Mortal Kombat X’

Game developer NetherRealm of fighting video game “Mortal Kombat X” has released a latest patch that gives the old lady character Blanche with more teeth, figuratively that is, in fighting.

The little old lady can be obtained by gamers from the Outworld Marketplace stage and she can also swing at opponents despite her age, cites Games Radar.

Blanche has been in the game since its launch last month on the gaming consoles and the PC as part of the features of the interactive stages of “Mortal Kombat X” that also includes throwable corpses, swingable vines, and fire.

The little old lady used to just traditionally slumps to a heap on the floor after lending a hand to a fighter. But the recent patch has changed Blanche. Now, she has a new level of brutality but it needs to be activated.

To trigger Blanche’s brutality, the gamer must use at least two interactables or bits of the level that he can use in a match and get final hit with the little old lady. Hold down after the throw and Blanche shall leap at the opponent with outstretched arms and maul him or her to pieces.

She will stand up afterwards to calmly wipe the spilled blood off her face as if nothing happened or it was just an ordinary day in the life of a little old lady. “Mortal Kombat X” fans now have a new special and surprise fighter in Blanche.

Jason Voorhees

In the first week of May, NetherRealm officially released a gameplay trailer of how legendary ruthless mass murderer Jason Voorhees from the “Friday the 13th” horror movie franchise will fight his opponents in “Mortal Kombat X.”

Jason is every bit as ruthless as one would expect for a mass murderer who has been killed many times over but continues to keep coming back from the dead.

Armed with his equally famous machete, the gameplay trailer showed how good Jason Voorhees is in carving his opponents into pieces. And gamers would either wince or laugh on how he does it in the game with flair.

Jason Voorhees officially rolled out to “Mortal Kombat X” on May 5 but it was a week later or on May 12 before gamers was able to buy him as a DLC pack. Gamers who have tried playing Freddy Krueger in “Mortal Kombat 9” sure got a kick playing his nemesis this time around in “Mortal Kombat X.”

NetherRealm has not been making any pronouncement about the possibility of Freddy Krueger coming to “Mortal Kombat X.”

But the latest most requested character that will most likely make it to the fighting game is the Predator from the Arnold Schwarzenegger first movie fame though no official date has been set just yet by the developer for his arrival to “Mortal Kombat X.”
