Season 6 of the American teen drama mystery-thriller TV series “Pretty Little Liars” will return to ABC Family on June 2 with the liars looking at the prospect of punishment as they previously tried to escape Charles’ dollhouse during the finale of the show’s fifth season that aired on March 24.
Fans of the very popular TV series expects the upcoming sixth season to provide them the answers to the gigantic cliffhanger that left them with a lot of questions after Season 5 but the trailer of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6 raised more queries instead than answers particularly about the mysterious Charles and his creepy lair.
The Season 5 finale saw the girls’ attempt to escape end up in futility as they realized that Charles fenced them in. All the while they thought that they have seen the worse of their tormentor but it turns out he still has a more demented and darker side left in him, notes the International Business Times in India.
Leaving Mona behind
There was also the possibility that Mona could be separated from the rest of the Liars. The promo photos of Season 6 pretty much gave hints of that as Mona is shown locked up in a separate room that resembles a decrepit prison.
Also in the Season 6 promo trailer, Mona was shown lying on the floor singing to herself. Based on this information, speculations and assumptions are now going around that Charles will lock up Mona in a separate room from the Liars in order to break her sanity.
There are also rumors that the Liars will attempt to leave Mona behind because the trailer also had a voice saying to them and asking them not to leave her. The voice sounded like it came from Mona but the video did not show who it was.
Janel Parrish, the actress who plays Mona, in a recent interview with People magazine explained how the dollhouse will mess them all up and their minds that everyone would have serious scars even after they leave it.
She said that serious attention should be given on the girls’ mental state after they break free from the dollhouse. She also confirmed that Season 6 will see the girls getting punished for their actions by A and that the series will finally unravel what exactly happened to them.
The promo pictures of “Pretty Little Liars” Season 6 also give viewers a chance to closely look and examine where the girls are being held.
