Latest word is that Mike Caviezel, former audio lead of “Forza Motorsport,” a racing video game exclusively for Xbox, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, has just joined Polyphony Digital to work on the upcoming racing game “Gran Turismo 7.”
Everyone knows that “Gran Turismo 7” will be exclusively released on Sony’s PlayStation 4 towards the latter part of this year. The game promises to become the next flagship racing game of PlayStation after Sony erroneously gave its reign to “Driveclub” last year, drawing not-so-good reviews and remarks from gamers and enthusiasts in the process.
Caviezel previously served as audio production director of Microsoft. He has worked on many Microsoft exclusive video games including “Ryse: Son of Rome,” “Halo 4,” “Fable: The Journey,” among a few others, notes PlayStation Lifestyle.
He has previously worked for Turn10 Studios and Sierra Entertainment. Given his wealth of experience in as far as audio production work is concerned, it was no surprise that Polyphony decided to take Caviezel into its fold to become the audio lead for “Gran Turismo 7.” He joined Polyphony in April.
Best entry in the PS4
Polyphony Digital has promised that it will bring something special to gamers for “Gran Turismo 7” and make the racing video game the best entry on the PS4 that gamers could imagine.
The “Gran Turismo” racing video game property has consistently been a big seller but was only hampered during the PlayStation 3 era because of delays and the slightly smaller install base of the last generation gaming console compared to the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation.
But with the entry of “Gran Turismo 7” on the PlayStation 4, the game debut on the next-gen gaming console promises to be a humdinger.
There have also been reports that the development team at Polyphony Digital has already looked into the Isle of Man’s famous Mountain Course, which will form the highlight circuit in the upcoming racing video game.
In addition to the new and heavyweight features of “Gran Turismo 7,” a number of key attributes also go in favor of the brand new video game.
These include exclusivity to the PS4, which means truly good things for the upcoming video game because the developer can actually push the game to its maximum potential without restriction.
