It’s no secret that the life of a celebrity is a tough one. While many young music fans would probably readily say that they would switch places with Luke Hemmings given the opportunity, the reality of the situation is that a job like his is not easy to keep up. It’s a lifestyle, not just a job, and one has to get used to that fact – and sometimes celebrities crumble just because they are unable to deal with the stress, not because they’re poor performers or anything like that.
But it seems like Luke Hemmings has his own unique way of keeping his stress levels low. According to him, stripping naked and relaxing just before a tour is the best way to let go of all the stress. A revelation which, understandably, drove the female half of his fanbase completely crazy. And of course, the discussions almost immediately turned in the inevitable direction – has anyone been lucky enough to actually catch a glimpse of the star in his “birth attire”?
Luke himself says that there have already been incidents like that. In one example, he was running around the tour bus completely naked, and at one point the driver accidentally saw him. It apparently didn’t affect him in any negative way though, and it was all done as a lighthearted joke, judging by the way Luke Hemmings is talking about the situation. He himself stated that he saw the incident as “funny, but weird”, and didn’t go into any further details.
In other news, Luke also recently announced that he’s single, but not actually looking for a girlfriend right now. The band has a strict policy of avoiding romantic relationships, and Luke Hemmings is sticking to that rule all the way, according to him.
Which, of course, was very disappointing for the majority of his fans, who were quick to get excited upon reading about his single status. It’s not known if the band plans on ever dropping that rule while they’re still active, but it’s probably for the best in the end. It’s not rare that young performers, especially in the music industry, get involved in a romantic relationship which ends up affecting their careers and hindering their progress, and the boys probably realize that.
Which should speak volumes about their maturity and the way they’re looking at show business. 5SOS have been very successful so far, and not just because of their music alone, but also because of the way they’re handling themselves as professionals. Judging by their comments and behavior on topics like this, we can only expect them to go far and become even more prominent down the road.
