It would indeed be a significant improvement over what the company’s previous models offered, and it would be a pretty notable feat for Toyota’s engineering teams. We don’t really doubt that the company could have pulled off something that amazing with the design of the new Prius, but we would wait until the car is officially unveiled before jumping to any conclusions.
If that’s true though, it could push the current development trends even further towards “green” designs that offer good levels of efficiency and a better performance for less fuel.
This has been a growing movement among car manufacturers lately, and fans have been paying more attention to these ideas too, which is even more important in the long run. It’s one thing to make fuel-efficient cars and release them in large numbers, but it’s a different story if nobody actually wants to buy them.
Thankfully that doesn’t seem to be the case with the new Prius, as a lot of people have been expressing their interest in the new model, particularly with regards to its fuel efficiency. If the new car lives up to the hype, it could become a very important entry into the current market, and could easily end up redefining some trends and shifting the market’s attention in a completely new direction too.
