The small SUV comes in two engine variants – the 16-valve 2.4-liter Tigershark I-4 engine with MultiAir2 electro-hydrauling fully variable valve-lift that is paired with the nine-speed automatic transmission and the 1.4-liter I-4 MultiAir Turbo four-cylinder engine that is paired with a six-speed dual dry clutch automatic transmission.
The Tigershark engine is capable of producing maximum power of 180 horsepower and maximum torque of 175 pound-feet. It is available on both 4×2 and 4×4 variant of the 2015 Jeep Renegade.
The 1.4-liter turbo engine meanwhile is only available to 4×2 model and is capable of exuding maximum power of 160 horsepower and maximum torque of 184 pound-feet.
Despite its brute strength and appeal, the 2015 Jeep Renegade also rates high in terms of fuel economy as it has a fuel efficiency rating of up to 30 miles per gallon on the highway.
Jeep also did not scrimp on the safety and security of the 2015 Renegade by incorporating up to 70 available standard and optional safety and security features including the forward collision warning-plus, lane-sense departure warning-plus, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, parkview rear backup camera with dynamic grid lines, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, seven standard air bags, among many others.
