PlayStation Plus Members Get Chance To Vote For Free Titles!

The gaming industry has become something huge over the last ten years or more.  Microsoft dominates with Sony and the Playstation right up there and Nintendo trailing the two.  Video games are more realistic, gamers from all over the world play any and all games well into the twilight hours each week and now, there will be a feature that adds a little more interaction for those that stay up late to play their favorite games.

According to sources, Sony PlayStation Plus members will soon be able to vote for the next free title. That is right, gamers from all over the world will be able to give their input as to what game they would like Sony to add to the PlayStation Plus subscription service for free. At this point, gamers will pay a monthly fee to join a network so they can view, download and play their favorite games, they should be able to have a say in things like this.

The online sources that are reporting the news indicate that Sony is about to start a “Vote to Play” program that gives gamers that chance to vote for which game they would like to see for free on the service. A pretty simple process, the game with the most votes will be included in the free lineup for PlayStation Plus, according to Sony Computer Entertainment America vice president John Koller. Even if the game that you picked does not make the cut, you can still download and play the runner up at a discounted price.

This promotion is a win-win for gamers and for Sony as well. It will allow Sony to see what types of games are more popular with players and it will also give those that spend their money on games a little more say in the community. If you want to get a sneak peak at how the system looks, you can go to the “What’s New” section on your PS4. Screenshots that were leaked online this week, show three game titles on the page with rankings right above them.

The games that are seen in the screenshot include Zombie Vikings, Armello and Grow Home. Even though those games were listed, it was not clear if that was the current voting session or if those games were just chosen for the sake of the screenshot. It is possible that those three games are up for the free title coming up in September. Sony has promised more details about the promotion as time gets closer to the launch of it. If you want to participate in the promotion, you must be a member of the PlayStation Plus subscription service.
