Jared Leto Portraying a Lean and Scarred The Joker in ‘Suicide Squad’ to Near Perfection

Jared Leto is not a comedian but he is fast shaping up to be the best Joker in the history of the DC Comics and movie franchise as the actor-musician takes on the role of the Clown Prince of Crime in the upcoming movie “Suicide Squad.”

Latest information from the ongoing shooting of the movie were released through the form of leaked photos showing Jared Leto and Margot Robbie filming beside a Lamborghini Infiniti G35.

Leto was almost unrecognizable in his Joker look as he was a tattooed lunatic who forms part of the main characters of the film.

In addition to those leaked images, there were other information regarding Leto’s ongoing work on the film including an alleged voice recording of Leto reading The Joker script. The recording was not clean but if it was really Leto in The Joker’s character, the recording has really impressed the fans because he accurately got the feel of the character including the creepy maniacal laughter and the crazy sounding voice of Batman’s arch nemesis.

Fans are supporting the authenticity of the leak because there is a very similar recording of Leto performing during the 30 Seconds to Mars concert with that crazy superficial The Joker voice.

Lean and scarred villain

Jared Leto’s character in “Suicide Squad” The Joker is based on “The Dark Knight Returns” version where the Clown Prince of Crime was described as lean and scarred.

In the original story, The Joker was catatonic for years but he regained his consciousness after Batman reappeared. If “Suicide Squad” will build on this plot, Jared Leto’s “The Joker” can been seen escaping from the prison while wearing his iconic white and purple suit, just like in the cartoon movie.

Leto’s The Joker is also expected to take it up a notch with his make-up by skin bleaching instead of just settling for strong face foundation. Director Christopher Nolan took a different look on the The Joker, played by the late Heath Ledger before but the new “Suicide Squad” film will reinvent and apply the original bleached skin again.

Exciting moment

One more exciting moment for The Joker in “Suicide Squad” is his interrogation with Amanda Waller. According to rumors, The Joker will be brought to the Belle Reve prison to help Waller in checking Harley Quinn. While at the prison complex, Waller will also ask him of his other criminal activities that allegedly involved government officials. The Joker is not known to be cooperative in any way so the Waller partnership is interesting to see.

“Suicide Squad” is based on the comic version of the villains forming a group created by the government to work on extremely dangerous missions. If the villains agree to participate, the years they would be spending in prison will be reduced.
