The consensus of the rumors is rife that the second season of the popular Japanese anime “Attack on Titan” will be released next year.
As for the possible storyline of the TV series, it has been reported that the second season shall explore the backstory of a gigantic ape-like creature called the Beast Titan, reports the Christian Today.
The rumors are also saying that the show shall likewise shift its focus from the heroes to the Titans hiding within the walls.
The Beast Titan can use sheer force to crush its opponents so the creature’s entry into the TV series would surely add to the suspense and excitement of “Attack on Titan” Season 2.
In addition to the Beast Titan, there will be other types of Titans that are expected to be introduced in the second season including the like of Zeke, an intelligent Titan who can transform like Eren. There is also going to be the Armored Titan who is larger and more powerful than any other Titans.
Dr. Yaeger’s basement
There are also speculations as of late saying that the first episode of Season 2 of “Attack on Titan” shall see Dr. Yaeger and the secrets of his basement. As a matter of fact, the premiere episode of the series’ second season is going to be titled “Basement,” reports Chatt Sports Net.
The mysterious basement of Dr. Yaeger was already mentioned in “Attack on Titan” Season 1 and Eren has always expressed his desire to go and check the place.
It has been said that the doctor has told Eren that the answers to the many questions in the world are found in the basement.
Incidentally, there were previous reports saying that the reason why the release date of “Attack on Titan” Season 2 was delayed because the Japanese anime wanted first that its manga source material written by Hajime Isayama will have at least two-story arcs ahead of the anime.
Isayama has already written two story arcs entitled “Clash of Titans” and “Uprising” and reports have it that these arcs will be used as the basis for the storylines of “Attack on Titan” Season 2.
However, there are also reports saying that the anime will move away from the manga version and that the anime series will introduce new characters for its second season.
But the producers of “Attack on Titan” have not confirmed whether the speculations are true or not so all information should be taken with a fine grain of salt.
More dangerous Titans
The internet and social media have been abuzz as of late with the impending release of the “Attack on Titan” Season 2 and latest rumors have it that it shall be introducing new, menacing, and more dangerous Titans that would be out to kill all of the human race.
At least two new Titans shall be emerging in Season 2 of “Attack on Titan” which would reportedly serve as game-changers for Eren, Mikasa, and their friends.
Accordingly, the new Titan Zeke will be far different with Eren in Titan form since Zeke is going to be a more intelligent Titan who will be appearing like an ape and comes with the power of speed and strength.
Zeke shall reportedly create more havoc and potential death to the Survey Corp.
In addition, there are also reports coming out saying that the relationship of Mikasa and Armin shall also be highlighted in Season 2 and they would end up being more than just friends. Eren would not like the idea as she believes that she and Mikasa are the ones who are meant to be together.
From a late 2016 air date, “Attack on Titan” Season 2 will reportedly premiere on the small screen in February 2017 although the show creators have yet to come out with a statement to confirm or deny it.
