The performance of Queen plus Adam Lambert since 2014 has been packing it in wherever they go in different parts of the world and it looks like the iconic rock band and the rising pop star sensation are planning a date with history yet again soon.
Latest reports have it that Queen and Adam Lambert are in talks, perhaps with the involvement of some local organizers, to have one show in the Middle East country of Israel, reports Ynet.news.com.
If the one-night performance pushes through, it would be the very first time for both Queen and Adam Lambert to perform in the country and it would also be the very first time that Israel would be hosting world-renowned music artists to perform in the Arab country.
Because of the threat being posed by other countries in the Middle East against them for sharing American views, Israel is a risky place to perform for international artists because of the constant risk of terror assault especially from a radical terror group like the ISIS.
Recording new songs together
Adam Lambert joined forces with the surviving members of Queen in 2012. They have been performing the band’s timeless classics together with the songs from Lambert’s musical repertoire.
But Lambert’s involvement with the iconic rock band has been strictly limited to touring. However, the pop star has given word previously that he would be jumping at the opportunity to record new materials with Queen, notes NME.
In a recent interview, the “American Idol” alum said that if something sounds cool comes up and he feels that it’s the right thing to do at that particular time, he said that he will be game.
As a matter of fact, latest reports have it that Adam Lambert is now recording new songs with Queen.
He said that Queen is Queen and that they are icons. It is the reason why when they are performing, they are billed at Queen plus Adam Lambert. The “Ghost Town” singer said that he is the guest who is filling in by singing the band’s classic songs and both of them are just having fun doing it.
Queen plus Adam Lambert headed out for a world tour in 2014 and Lambert will return as the rock band’s frontman beginning next weekend when they headline the Isle of Wight Festival.
Queen’s Brian May said that having Queen at the Isle of Wight Festival is a date that was long overdue and they are ready to take on the challenge. He added that with an injection of new blood in Adam Lambert, they are confident that they are ready to tear the legendary stage this year.
Admitting that he is gay opened up opportunities for him
Adam Lambert is one music artist who already admitted that he was gay even before he became famous after making a runner-up finish in the singing competition reality show “American Idol” back in 2009.
In a recent official video, Adam Lambert talked about his experience growing up as a gay man and how being open about it and coming out to his family helped his life to get better.
The same video from the “Ghost Town” singer is now being used by the “It Gets Better” project, founded by Dan Savage and husband Terry Miller in 2010 in response to a spate of LGBT youth suicides.
The project is mean to prevent LGBT youth suicides as well as provide comfort and solace to young people who are still struggling to understand their sexual identity and are scared to come out in the open for fear of public persecution and humiliation.
In his video, Adam Lambert narrated that his self-discovery started around puberty when he started realizing that everything got kind of strange on him.
It was then that he realized that he was not like other boys of his own age. He admitted that the feeling of being different and not seeing any visible gay men who serve as role models for him left Adam Lambert feeling isolated.

Israel is not an Arab country.. It is a Jewish country
What a great opportunity for Adam + Queen & Israeli fans if this will come to pass. Adam is an exceptionally talented artist that is so worthy of the Queen crown, who are legends. Being gay is just one part of Adam, who hopes one day it will no longer be such a big topic of conversation, sometimes overshadowing his musical career in interviews & is really old new. He’s so much more than his personal sexual preference & is proud of who he is & what he’s accomplished. He’s done so much for charity & along with Queen has given much back to the world, making it a better place. Thank you for this article, acknowledging him & reporting a great possibility of these great men hopefully sharing their magical gifts with Israel.
