2016 Apple MacBook Air Possibly to be Launched During the Black Friday Sale Craze, Rumors Say

The rumor mill is going abuzz with news that Apple is planning to release its 2016 MacBook Air during the Black Friday sale craze in the US.

According to Latinos Post, rumors came surfacing that the tech giant wants to surprise its avid users and is considering the weekend of November 27-29 as the possible release date for its newest flagship notebook.

However, as per MNR Daily, it is unlikely that Apple would unveil its latest notebook during the Black Friday craze as it may end up being overshadowed by other great deals which are expected to come out that day. There’s a huge chance that the product would go unnoticed because of cheaper deals.

Christian Today notes that Apple would never consider unveiling the 2016 MacBook Air on Black Friday as the day is synonymous to big discounts and killer deals in time for the Thanksgiving season.

It’s also unlikely that Apple would do a surprise release for its notebook as the company follows a timeline of release dates and unveiling for its flagship devices.

Analysts say that the Black Friday sale diminishes the potential sales the 2016 MacBook Air could generate. If the release date would coincide with the big sales event, people would more likely purchase discounted offers and cheap bundles rather than shell out a huge amount of money on a newly-released notebook.

As per Australia Network News, Apple is hoping that its new notebook offering will recreate the success of the iPhones. A report from Canaccord Genuity showed that Apple’s share of the total smartphone profits grew to a whopping 94% during the third quarter of this year.

Earlier reports claim that the 2016 MacBook Air will be launched in time for the holiday season while the 2016 MacBook Pro will become available early next year.

The December release seems to be a more suitable release date for the notebook, but Apple hasn’t released an official statement yet.

Some reports suggest that the release dates of the two new flagship devices were pushed back to allow the newly-released iPad Pro to get a good grasp in the market.

Reports say that the company is worried of seeing its own gadgets compete with one another in the market. People are still welcoming the idea of the new innovation that is the iPad Pro, and releasing the 2016 MacBook Air would probably downplay all the hype about the giant tablet.

It is indeed practical that the company wouldn’t want their newest notebook to compete with its latest iPad and steal potential sales from it.

Aside from the fresh release of the iPad Pro, the tech firm just introduced the Apple MacBook last March. It has a similar appearance to the 2015 MacBook Air, but it is thinner and lighter.

The device features high-resolution Retina Display, a Force Touch trackpad, and a redesigned keyboard. The Apple MacBook only features two ports, a head jack phone and USB 3.1 Type-C port for charging, data transfer, and video output. The notebook has a 256GB SSD and 8GB RAM and a 1.1GH processor.

Meanwhile, the giant tablet iPad Pro was launched on September 9 but released to the market earlier this month. It is the company’s largest iPad to date. It features a 12.9-inch screen and is powered by an A9X processor with 4GB of RAM.

The newest flagship iPad comes in gold, silver, and space gray color options. Tech enthusiasts can purchase the device with two accessories – the Apple Pencil that serves as the device’s stylus, and the Smart Keyboard.

Three variants of the iPad Pro are available in the market — Wi-Fi only models with 32GB or 128 GB of storage space options, and a 128GB model with cellular connectivity.

With the continuous evolution of the iPad as a go-to device, Carolina Milanesi, research head of US business for Kantar World Panel ComTech, thinks that the newest MacBook Air should not be around much longer than it should.
