The unannounced release date gives the producers an opportunity to examine those discussions between their fans more closely and to pick out what they want do include in the show from those ideas (and what they don’t), which is why they’re probably keeping quiet about their schedule right now.
The way the producers are planning to bring Wally West back has been a bit controversial among some fans of the show, but others saw it as a nice gesture towards the character.
Are we going to see more dramatic developments in this tone in season 3, or is the show going to take on a more lighthearted approach to its storytelling? Rumors are quite conflicted in this regard, so fans should probably take everything with a grain of salt right now.
Hopefully this show is also going to inspire other studios to explore the idea of putting their side characters in the spotlight, as it’s worked out quite well for the producers of “Young Justice” so far. Some fans were initially skeptical towards that idea and claimed that it was doomed to fail, but it didn’t take long for the showrunners to prove them wrong and to demonstrate the huge potential their work had. Now all they have to do is keep realizing that potential even more strongly.
