A lot is coming up in the next season of “Young Justice”, and it looks like the showrunners have every intention to make this season as solid as possible. On one hand, we’ve heard talks about old characters coming back, and on the other, new ones are being introduced to the team as well.
This is a clear indication that the return of the show was actually desired by the producers themselves, and it wasn’t just a quick response to the massive requests from fans. According to reports, the showrunners have decided to bring Wally West back, and we’re going to see several new members added to the cast as well, in the roles of Zatanna, Red Arrow, and more.
The show had a unique premise right from the start which drew a large number of viewers in, and the producers seem quite clear on the exact concepts that have been so attractive to their fans, judging by the previews we’ve seen for the upcoming season 3.
More variety of sidekicks (who want to become superheroes) is never a bad thing of course, and even though some fans were seemingly afraid that the show’s set could get a little overcrowded, we trust that the producers will be able to handle this expansion without losing track of all their characters. The previous seasons managed to pay sufficient attention to everyone, so new characters should get treated properly as well.
The show isn’t just going to get expanded for the new season though, the producers are actually exploring ideas for crossovers with other productions from what we’ve seen so far. For example, characters from shows like “Arrow”, “Supergirl” and “The Flash” are going to make an appearance in the new season, and it would be interesting to see how the shows are tied together.
Perhaps this will be a two-sided relationship? Some fans seem hopeful that we’re going to see some of the original characters from “Young Justice” in those other shows, but it’s probably a bit too early to talk about that possibility right now.
It would definitely make sense though, so if the producers of the respective shows are keeping an eye on discussions on the Internet, they should definitely pool their efforts to make that happen. There is a lot of potential in this corner of the superhero genre right now, and it would be a shame to see it go to waste.
As we pointed out above, “Young Justice” started off on a very positive note thanks to the show’s unique idea and the way it portrayed its various characters. Seeing a superhero show that’s not actually about superheroes themselves, but rather about the adventures of their sidekicks, seems to have filled a niche that many people didn’t even realize wanted to see filled.
After a period of speculation about the future of the show, fans decided to take matters in their own hands and started making direct requests to the network to let the show go on. Requests which obviously did not go unnoticed, so now the ball is in the producers’ court to make this season worth the extension.
We still don’t know when season 3 is going to arrive, and it will probably take some time to get the episodes ready. We imagine that the producers are also constantly keeping an eye on online discussions and this is a major source of information for their strategy with the show, so fans shouldn’t keep their voices down if they have any ideas for the future of “Young Justice”.
