“X-Men: Apocalypse” is going to continue some trends set by the previous installment in the series, and it might also go a bit farther back in the history of the franchise, bringing back certain characters that we haven’t seen for a while. There are lots of different possibilities for how the new film might play out, and the plot is certainly open to various ideas, but recent reports have been painting a particularly interesting picture, with some claims that we might get to see some of our old favorite characters back.
On the other hand, some of the characters from the original trilogy are going to be shown in a different light, taking a look at them during their younger years. This will not just serve an emotional purpose in the plot of the new film, but it will also be a good way to add some background to those characters and show where they’re all coming from.
Quicksilver is apparently coming back, and he’ll be given an even more important role in this installment. This was actually the subject of much speculation lately, with many fans wondering if they’re going to see the character coming back or not, but now that it’s been confirmed that he’s returning, what specific role is he going to have?
It looks like the film is going to follow the original canon of the story as told in the comic books, as it will show Magneto as Quicksilver’s father. This will also have some implications for the kinds of powers that Quicksilver will have at his disposal, and it looks like the writers are preparing something particularly interesting for this character.
Many fans seem excited to see the father-son pair in the new film, and people have high expectations about the performance of their two characters. And while we still don’t have a concrete idea about what the writers might be planning, it looks like we’re going to get some very dramatic, intense scenes between the two of them.
It might even turn out that Quicksilver will be joining the team for the long run, although this is still under a major question mark. It’s definitely very likely that he’s going to stick by his friends’ side for the most part, but whether or not he’ll stay until the end of the film – and for films after that – is still being debated.
And of course, it wouldn’t be a film featuring Quicksilver if we also didn’t get to see his sister, Scarlet Witch. However, there have been some conflicts between the plot of this film and other films related to the “Avengers” franchise, so the situation looks very difficult to resolve. We don’t know what the writers are planning to do to put everyone’s minds at ease, but we’re likely going to see them taking some liberties with the plot, as they will need to work around the problems that they currently have with regards to consistency. Hopefully it wouldn’t be a too big hassle for them and won’t cause any issues within the community.
There is also the question of a mysterious young girl that was seen in a picture, and many fans seem to believe that this was Wanda, although there are some alternative theories which make sense as well. She could also be Polaris, someone who is also capable of the same powers like Magneto and could play a major role in the plot of the new film, although the exact nature of her involvement is anything but clear right now.
