Various interesting developments are happening on the front of “X-Men: Apocalypse”, as the production has been moving forward successfully and we’ve been getting various teasers about what we can expect to see in the new film. Just recently, we saw a few teaser photos that show an interesting new setting – and while we’re not sure what that’s all about, one of the comments attached to the pictures was “Reminds me of #area51”, for a photo that shows several human-shaped figure silhouettes in what seem to be container tanks.
Another new picture from the latest teasers shows something that matches what we’ve seen previously in concept art for the film, and it’s pretty clear that the producers behind this title have some very interesting ideas for its overall presentation. We’re likely going to see some of our favorite characters from the “X-Men” universe presented in entirely new ways, and this has been making fans quite excited, which is perfectly understandable.
We also got to see Angel in a cage with his wings fully spread out in a concept art release that was shown some time ago, and it seems like the film is going to feature some sort of fight club as part of its plot, which is what the cage setting was apparently all about. This was somewhat confirmed by the new pictures that were released just now, and even though we don’t know the full details about that fight club, it’s apparently going to play an important role in the plot of the new film.
It’s also important to note that the new film is going to show the younger mutants that were more prominent a few decades ago in the 80s, and they will be coming up against Apocalypse. This is a fight that many fans have wanted to see on the big screen for a long time, and considering the huge production values of the “X-Men” franchise nowadays, we expect to see it shown in amazing detail with lots of exciting moments thrown all over.
We’re most likely going to see the origin story of Storm in the new film as well, and various other characters are going to have their backstories developed a little more. This is also something that has been on the minds of fans for quite some time now, and we’re as curious as the most dedicated fans of the franchise to see what the writers will come up with for those scenes.
Of course, in the end, they’re somewhat limited by the plot development in the original comic books and they can’t stray too far away from that, but on the other hand, we’ve already seen the writers on the “X-Men” films taking some creative freedom here and there, coming up with more interesting ways to present certain parts of the plot. They may have to stick to a specific storyline, but they can also make various modifications to it that can make it more appropriate for the big screen, and more exciting for old school fans who already know the original plot.
There will be various new additions to the cast as well, and the film won’t just have old members coming back, and we’re going to see Tye Sheridan and Sophie Turner joining the actors, among others. It will likely be quite the line-up from what we can tell, and many fans have been rightly excited for the new production. So far, it’s shaping up to be a very strong entry in the franchise.
