But there is a lot of time to go until May 2016 when the new film is going to arrive to the screen, and even though work is running smoothly right now, there is no guarantee that there won’t be any issues in the future. Hopefully we’re just making a wrong prediction here, but it’s worth keeping that in mind.
And on the other hand, because it’s going to take a while for the film to come out, we also expect that the producers are carefully planning how they release their marketing materials and are spacing them out appropriately in order to maintain a high level of interest.
That would make sense, as they would benefit more from releasing news a bit later and closer to the actual release date, rather than putting out all the marketing materials right now.
But on the other hand, releasing a good trailer for the film right about now would be a very good move that would definitely benefit them in the long run, and it should help establish a good level of attention towards the project. Not that it’s lacking in this department – there is definitely a lot of interest for “X-Men: Apocalypse” – but one can never go wrong with pushing down on marketing even more actively with a major production like this one.
I remember Apocalypse from the animated X-Men TV series. He looked intimidating, but that voice though… no thanks. I’m thankful Oscar Isaac got the part, I guess, haha.
