So many years after its original release, and “World of Warcraft” is still being supported by its developer Blizzard very actively. The company has been hard at work resolving various issues that have been pending in their pipeline for a while now, and they have specifically addressed an issue with the “Gara” quest, something that has been bothering players for quite some time.
In addition, the studio’s developers have done some work on Mission Completion Orders as well as the PvP portion of the game, and all in all, patch 6.2 feels quite nicely polished and well-designed. It’s obvious that a lot of work has gone into this update, and we expect to see even more active releases from Blizzard in the future. As long as “World of Warcraft” remains popular, it would make a lot of sense for the company to keep investing in it.
If a player logs off, they shouldn’t lose their progress on the “Vignette: Murktide Alpha” quest as before, nor during daily resets. This has been a commonly brought up issue with the game, but thankfully it looks like it will no longer bother players.
Using a Mission Completion Order on a Legendary Naval mission will no longer advance the time of the next offered mission, another point that has been bothering players for a while now. Players can now get a full refund for the Saberstalker teachings too, getting back the entire sum that they’ve paid to the vendor.
The Ashran Player versus Player rules have been changed a bit, as for example events now grant 150 honor points per victory, while mines on the other hand require 30 marks. Loot is no longer dropped from the Stormshield Footman and Warspear Grunt, and the “Hold Your Ground” aura will give a 15% increase to the damage output of a player.
Some clever players have been reporting new methods for earning money in the game recently as well. In particular, the Tanaan Jungle seems to have some good potential for that, being the new max level zone of Draenor. It’s full of huge amounts of loot, and players can easily gather some impressive items if they venture out to that place, but there is something in particular that has been drawing the attention of players.
That’s the “Medallion of the Legion”, which can sell for around 15-45k gold on the Auction House, and has been a highly sought after item. Understandably, players have been hunting for it very actively as well. The item’s value comes from its attributes (as is usual), as it gives 1000 reputation points for all eight Draenor factions.
Considering how difficult it can be to gain reputation with some of these factions, this is a pretty serious bonus that shouldn’t be ignored, and players can benefit from the medallion a lot. It’s not clear if it has any implications for the meta balance of the game, but there might be a need for some changes in the future if it turns out that its effect is too powerful.
It’s also affected by reputation modifiers, even the human trait or the Darkmoon buff. This makes it great in combination with various buffs, as it can give even more reputation than normal, allowing players to quickly progress through the factions that they are interested in. Of course, it also requires a careful preparation and organization of one’s resources, in particular items that can offer an additional reputation boost.
