Winning Bid for Jeep Renegade with Rolling Stones Autograph Closes at $46,000!

The Rolling Stones were in the news lately, but not because of their music – the iconic band autographed a Jeep Renegade which was subsequently put up for an auction, with all proceeds going to charity. And now, it’s been announced that the auction has closed at a winning bid of $46,000, placed by an anonymous bidder. The Renegade has the signatures of Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Ronnie Wood and Charlie Watts, and all proceeds from its sale are going to go to Community Links.

The organization, based in London, has been promoting and developing various practical activities in an effort to battle social exclusion, and they have been getting quite a lot of recognition for their successful work lately. And now, with the extra help from the sale of the Jeep Renegade, they’ll be sure to have a little extra freedom in organizing their activities, and truly helping people out. The organization hasn’t specified how they plan on using the funds yet, although they’ll likely release at least a basic overview of their plans at some point.

Jeep themselves have been quite actively involved in the charity event, as they were the sole exclusive partner for The Rolling Stones from the automotive industry for their efforts. Of course, the event has been of some benefit to the auto maker as well, as they used the Italian concert of The Rolling Stones to release their first small SUV model in the country.

Not that they really needed the extra recognition though – the new release has already been getting great press, and many critics have been commending Jeep for releasing a model that offers a good combination of features for a moderately low price. Even though it’s the company’s debut in this market, they seem to be doing everything right to impress their core customers, so there should be a great future ahead of their new release.

At the same time, “14 On Fire”, the current tour of The Rolling Stones, has been incredibly successful as well. The band still has thousands of dedicated fans and this was obvious during their performances, which were universally met by an energetic, excited crowd, and great commercial success.

It’s not known if The Rolling Stones have any plans to partner up with other companies from the auto industry for similar events in the future, although it wouldn’t be out of their style, and considering the huge success they’ve seen with this particular partnership, it’s very likely that they might want to consider it. Of course it’s too late to do that during “14 On Fire”, but the future always holds the potential for even more action.
