Some fans apparently found that strange, as the show has traditionally taken some creative liberties with the story of the books and hasn’t been sticking to the canon all the way. At the same time, important plot details are always kept in sync, and it’s been confirmed that this will be valid for the new season of the show as well.
With that in mind, fans of “Game of Thrones” already know that they will get to see Jon Snow once again sooner or later, and there have been some discussions about his implications for the plot and how that story could differ between the show and the book.
We will find out soon enough – in any case it looks like 2016 is going to be a very exciting year for fans of Martin’s works and their adaptation to the screen, and there will be plenty to talk about. There might even be some more interesting surprises if some rumors are to be believed.
The show has reached a point where it definitely needs some more dramatic plot twists in order to keep it interesting. The apparent death of Jon Snow was a good move in this regard, and hopefully season 6 will continue that trend even more.
