Windows 10’s Release Strengthen Rumors of an October Release for Microsoft Surface Pro 4

With Surface Pro 3’s success in the market, a lot is expected of its successor especially now with the availability of Windows 10. The Surface line has become an impressive tool in giving users an option regarding its portability and functionality as either a laptop or a tablet or both.

The Surface Pro 3 runs on a 64-bit version of Windows 8.1 Pro and was officially released in June last year. Recently, the Surface Pro 3 made news when the device was made a replacement for the Surface Pro 2 when it came to seeing all the NFL sideline actions.

The device has a bigger screen and is more portable compared to its predecessor. Although the replacement called for minimal changes, the NFL app now running on the Surface Pro 3 allows more images on-screen, multiple colors for play markups and a whiteboard mode for writing ideas in between plays. According to C/Net, Microsoft is now working with NFL in using augmented reality via its own HoloLens.

HoloLens is the company’s headset that makes hologram-like images appear like it is inserted in actual reality. According to Jeff Tran, director of Sports and Alliances, several NFL teams are already exploring virtual reality training systems and admits that augmented reality could offer some compelling twists.
