Windows 10 will be the Key to Microsoft’s Redemption for Windows 8

While it is great for users who would like to keep their operating system constantly updated, it is not ideal for those who would like to download and install things on their devices at their own pace.

Based on latest reports, Windows 10 is going to take responsibility for any and all updates whether users know they are agreeing to it or not. In short, updates are no longer optional in Windows 10 but are mandatory.

Windows 10 shall periodically check for system and app updates, and automatically downloads and installs them for the user. The updates can be obtained only from Microsoft or authorized sources, and Microsoft may need to update the user’s system to provide him with those updates.

The situation may pose trouble for the millions of users who are using pirated Windows OS because once they update to Windows 10, they will finally be obligated to pay for the software. The move appears to be a strategy of Microsoft to curtail piracy of its Windows app, which records show as the most pirated app in the world.

In fact, only home users will be subjected to mandatory and automatic updates because owners of the Enterprise Edition of the Windows 10, to be used for business purposes, have the option to sign up for the Long Term Service Branch, which would allow them to take on updates every two to three years.
