With 2015, a lot of new bits and pieces of Windows 10 have surfaced on the internet. Recently, Microsoft revealed that their plans, to bring Cortana to the Android and Apple devices, are currently in development. It is an attempt by Microsoft to introduce Cortana to all devices running Windows 10. Microsoft is trying to set her up as the primary assistant everywhere you look.
Lots of interesting features will be introduced with its launch. This includes a pop-up on your phone after a reminder has been set on the desktop. At the same time, you get to experience the vice-versa as well. Similar to a personal assistant, it will work in both ways in order to bring about the maximum amount of convenience to its users.
Presently, Microsoft is contemplating a major decision involving who to charge with the release of the upcoming Windows 10. The price figure also remains to be determined. Updates regarding this decision could be made public as early as 21st January. This is when Microsoft executives will showcase their next iteration involving the previews of Windows 10 and its part in the company strategy, as a whole. According to CEO Satya Nadella, the strategy is primarily based around ‘cloud first’, ‘mobile first’ along with ‘productivity and platforms’.
Microsoft also revealed further information regarding the arrival of their Spartan web browser designed specifically for Windows 10. After a long and tiresome time, Microsoft has finally decided to remove its attention from the Ancient Internet Explorer and switch over to a new product. It will still maintain support for the Internet Explorer (not that it’s really in demand!) while changing its primary focus to Spartan. Microsoft’s Trident Rendering Engine and Chakra JavaScript engine have served the guidelines for Spartan, the upcoming web browser.
Microsoft CEO Kevin Turner revealed that the company would announce its initial plans regarding Windows 10, by early 2015. We are all quite interested to see how Microsoft ends up making money as they have already started providing licenses to smartphone manufacturers, inexpensive personal computers as well as tablets. Furthermore, the pricing and figures related to Windows 10 will be revealed in the January event as well.
Microsoft is currently processing plans to reduce the shrinking gap on the Windows Phone platform. Apparently, a lot of news and rumors regarding this have surfaced online lately. Using the Universal App Model, Microsoft has been trying to grab the interest of present age developers.
The company is making it easy for the App developers. They simply need to write the app once and then make it available across all devices like the smartphone, tablet, and PC. People, who are running an older Windows version like Windows XP or Windows Vista, will require a full system format for the necessary upgrade.
Stay tuned for more exciting updates on Windows 10!
