Jeep have been known as the king of the off-road experience for quite a while now, but they’re certainly not the only company that knows how to make a good offer in this market. Others have been making some very attractive offers lately, and currently, a potential interested buyer who wants to get something that can perform well off the road has many good options to choose from. The new edition of the Honda HR-V has been one of the main contenders, and with the release of the Jeep Renegade coming close, there has been a lot of debate over who’s going to come out on top.
The new Jeep Renegade will be powered by a 1.4 liter 4-cylinder turbo 6A engine, and it’s a very advanced vehicle in terms of technology used. It features various pieces of tech not found in many (or even any) other contemporary SUVs, and it’s obvious that Jeep have a strong desire to innovate this field as much as they can with their new release.
On the other hand, the Honda HR-V isn’t shy on its specifications either, and it will all come down to which of the two can offer a better balance between its price and features. It’s obvious that Honda have been eyeing Jeep’s market and have been putting some effort in trying to get their foot in the door more strongly, but it’s not yet clear whether their new release is going to do the job properly.
Jeep have been actively reminding people that their vehicles do off-road better than the competition, and the most recent example of that has been a series of videos showcasing one of the Renegade’s variants, the Trailhawk, in its “natural habitat” – running through a variety of off-road environments and demonstrating its ability to handle difficult terrain with ease.
So, Jeep seem to be handling their marketing quite well, if nothing else. If the actual release of the Renegade meets the expectations they’re setting through this marketing campaign, this could turn out to be a very good addition to the market, and a model that will be talked about for a long time after it’s released. And with the several different versions that Jeep are planning to offer, they seem to have the right idea when it comes to covering as much of the market as possible.
According to critics, that has been one of the company’s problems in recent times – they have been focusing too much on niche projects while other companies have been extending their reach to attract customers from all parts of the market. Jeep seem to be getting back on track in this regard though, which is great.
