Even though new characters are coming in and recurring characters have become series regular, there is some sad news. Creator Matt Duffer confirmed that Barb (Shannon Purser) isn’t returning for Stranger Things Season 2.

Barb had connected with the viewers. She ended up in a tricky situation in the season finale, which kept her future uncertain. While Shannon Purser seems to be excited about reuniting with her co-stars in Season 2, she is clueless about what the future holds for her character.

Given the success, Stranger Things saw in the very first season, Shawn Levy, the producer of the show is feeling the pressure. He knows that the expectations are high for the second season of Stranger Things.

He confessed that it is scary to be aware of the appreciation bestowed upon the show by the viewers and how much they expect from the show when it premieres on Netflix. It is easy to slip and fail to deliver in such a situation, and Levy is cautious about Stranger Things Season 2.

Speculation suggests that the titles of the different episodes of Season 2 were leaked. Two of the episodes from Stranger Things Season 2 will be called ‘The Boy Who Came Back to Life’ and ‘The Secret Cabin.

Season 1 depicted the 1980s and the upcoming season will be set in 1984. The plot is likely to be based on the Upside Down and Hawkins.
