Apple has been very stringent when releasing information about their products in development but one way or another, leaks come out in public to reveal a preview for Apple’s next product offerings. Since Apple traditionally launches products during the third quarter of every year, usually around September or October, people are now speculating on what the next product or products from the American tech giant would be.
According to a popular product leaker, Twitter page, @OnLeaks, the next Apple commodity will be the new iPad Mini 4. The product is very probable since the company has just removed all of their original iPad Minis on their retail stores and some are saying that the reason why the company removed the previous products is to pave the way for the coming of the next flagship device.
This could come as a good news or a bad news for users, depending on how this new iPad Mini 4 will perform. The tech world was a bit disappointed when Apple released a new line of iPads last fall, the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3. The iPad Air 2 introduced a 64-bit A8X processor, M8 motion co-processor, 2 GB of RAM and the touch ID. The iPad Mini 3 is just the same as the iPad Mini 2 but these so-called changes that came from Apple were only in the change of color from the original metallic case to the new gold option, and the Touch ID.
There are so many reports saying that Apple is losing touch on its innovative side. With Steve Jobs gone, Apple has continued to launch one new product after the other. The only problem is there is really nothing new about their devices aside from higher specs or the Touch ID. So, with this upcoming iPad Mini 4, it is very hard to keep our hopes up.
Back in April, a video surfaced featuring the redesigned rear case of the iPad Mini 4. The tablet seemed to resemble the iPad Air 2, but it looks thinner than the current iPad Mini 3. When the iPad Mini 2 was introduced, Apple made it a point to upgrade the screen capacity of the device to 2,048 x 1,536 with a Retina Display. The iPad Minis continued to outsell the iPad Air because of its affordability. Additionally, the device almost has the same features and specifications as the iPad when they were launched in 2012. They both have the 64-bit A7 processors.
So, when the iPad Air 2 and the iPad Mini 3 were launched last year, Apple made it a point to make the iPad Air 2 extremely more powerful than the iPad Mini 3 to boost sales. Unfortunately, the disparity of CPUs did not make the fans happy.

The leaked video of the new iPad Mini 4 case was from @OnLeaks too. The report came from Nowhereelse.fr and the site stated that the new look of the iPad Mini 4 will definitely be similar to the iPad Air 2. The lock/mute switch was replaced with a microphone hole and the speaker grill now has a single row of larger cutouts. The aluminum case is reportedly thinner than the iPad Mini 3.
