Will and Grace to Be Renewed for Another Run, Although Not Much Details About the Sitcom Is Available

The time for being in the spotlight of the Gilmore Girls fans has come to an end, while they step aside the fans of the TV seriesWill & Grace take their place center stage and squeal.

This was very popular and hit sitcom, which came to an end in 2006 is all set for a return on your TV sets, only this time it’s going to be an all new season consisting of 10 episodes. Fans must be ecstatic that their favorite Will & Grace is returning to the small screen.

Leslie Jordan, who had a recurring role on the hit TV show, settles all our confusion by confirming that Will & Grace will be coming back for a 10-episode season. The actor also won an award for The Outstanding Guest Actor Emmy for this recurrent role on the show.

He played the part of campy Beverly Leslie, reassured everyone that the comeback of the show, while in an interview with radio station KBPS.

He told the radio station that the show is back and NBC has only asked that the show is shot with a limitation of ten episodes. At least that’s the way things are working for now according to the actor. The show will be filmed in July for it will be for the next season.

According to a report by The Hollywood Reporter, Will & Grace’s six chief players; like the creators David Kohan and Max Mutchnick, the stars Eric McCormack, who played Will, Debra Messing, who portrayed the character of Grace, Sean Hayes, who played Jack and Megan Mullally, who played Karen; have all signed on to the venture.

Although officially the network has yet to approve of the news.

The TV series, which was the first primetime TV series in the US to concentrate openly on gay characters; ran for eight seasons starting from the year 1998 to 2006.

The show’s status as a pop culture groundbreaker also aided in fostering mainstream awareness of LGBTI rights. Will& Grace was even talked about by US Vice President Joe Biden in an interview in 2012, where he was heard saying that the show had done more to teach the American public than possible anything anybody has ever done.

The cast came together for an election promotion clip in September in 2016.

Airing locally on Channel seven, in the year 2007, the series finale of Will & Grace jumped forward to a future scenario, where the showed the grown-up kids of Will and Grace, meeting in college. This hinted at a marriage looming over their heads.

This particular incident has sparked rumors that there is going to be a reunion someday.

According to news, in 2008 a spin-off of the show called Jack and Karen was in talks to be aired by NBC. However, the development was thwarted as Mullally and Hayes decided to drop out of the project, leaving it floundering.

Will and grace to return

Last September the cast of Will &Grace reunified for a 10-minute special, asking Americans to vote in the US election in November, culminating in renewed interest in a restart.

Eric McCormack who was the star at that time had said that everyone was very protective of hope the show was brought to its end. He also added that they were proud of the series finale and how the story depicted the break that friendships at times take.

He expressed that the cast would be excited to talk about a reboot as it would mean changing the story ultimately and changing the stories in their lives if the show were to start and the plot were to continue.
