According to the official word from Nintendo, Super Smash Bros 4 will release sometime within Holiday season 2014 for Wii U, as unconfirmed reports have narrowed the launch down to November. While Nintendo is tightlipped about the release date, the company has revealed three new un-lockable characters in-game, namely Wario’s Wario, Star Fox’s Falco and Earthbound’s Ness.
Wario was introduced in Super Smash Bros Brawl while Falco is popular from Melee. Ness, on the other hand, is a veteran of the Super Smash Bros franchise. Super Smash Bros 4 launched on the 3DS on October 3rd and Nintendo has urged gamers to download the first upgrade patch to enjoy a glitch-free online gaming experience.
“A new update patch for Super Smash Bros 4 is available across all Nintendo eShops as of October 2nd, 2014 and gamers who wish to enjoy uninterrupted online gaming should download and install this update pack at the earliest.” Nintendo’s Support Page reads.
The 3DS and Wii U versions of the game are expected to be quite different from one another thanks to the change in platform. This is a blessing in disguise.
Super Smash Bros 4 managed to live up to the initial hype of the gamers, which is a positive sign in a highly competitive market segment. The gamers have even higher expectations from the Wii U variant of the game. It remains to be seen if Nintendo manages to woo audiences yet again!
“Super Smash Bros 4 on the 3DS is perfectly designed and feels right at home on the console. It seems like the game was designed exclusively for it. Numerous features and functionalities give the gamers numerous reasons to keep playing.” said Jose Otero of IGN.
“Gamers need to try out numerous customizable moves to unlock trophies and other bonus points. The overall experience attracts and retains your attention. Gamers have the constant urge to try out new stuff, which is the best feedback in itself for the game.” He added.
Nintendo has organized a Super Smash Bros tournament on the 3DS in New York on 11th October, featuring the 16 best players from their respective countries.
