While Season 6 Has Yet to Begin, Creators Eyeing ‘The Walking Dead’ to Last Up to 12 Seasons

With Season 6 of the American holocaust horror-thriller TV series “The Walking Dead” release date this coming October still in the guessing board, fans of show are eager to get any information about the fate of Rick Grimes and his team now that they’re safely back again in the Alexandria SafeZone amid boiling tensions with the Alexandrians.

Season 6 will immediately pick up where the last season left off and although production for the AMC hit series is already underway, the plot for the upcoming season still remains a big mystery and showrunners are planning on keeping it that way.

Luckily, no secrecy can escape from The Spoiling Dead Fans, a Facebook page devoted to the show and satisfying every fan’s thirst for spoilers.

Recently, the social media page posted news about Season 6’s casting call confirmed by E! and TVLine. Aside from the confirmation that Corey Hawkins will play the role of Heath, fans will get to see four new characters introduced. Casting call has been made for a certain Tucker who is described to be a military guy who’s very much the leader type and will possibly have a rift with Rick.

Recurring guest star roles with availability to appear in future episodes for a Kirk and Hilda, husband and wife who Rick and the others will meet in Alexandria, are also for auditions. Although no one is set to play Kirk yet, he’s already confirmed to be the first casualty of the season.

Another casting call has been made for an Allison, a psychologist in Alexandria and could possibly have a bigger role in future episodes as she saved Carl’s life in the comics. No names have surfaced yet on who’s possible to play these characters but as October nears, expect more unveiling to happen.

Moving on to more spoilers, The Spoiling Dead Fans recently posted photos showing three unknown characters on set, one of them has a faint “W” mark on his forehead seemingly referring to Wolves. From the looks of it, no one has seen the last of the Wolves although their whereabouts are still up in the air even during the series finale of Season 5.

They might be wounded and weak but they’re pretty much alive for sure and ready to plague the survivors as Greg Nicotero teases.

Norman Reedus who plays Daryl, in an interview with Hollywood Reporter, says the Wolves are probably on the move with their evil business this season and that they’re very different from those wimpy and coward guys from Terminus, adding that these guys are ready to kill.

For a show that’s loyal to its source material, the deaths of main characters such as Glenn, Daryl and even Carl cannot escape fans’ worry. Reedus for his character says he hopes Daryl doesn’t die on the show because he is one of the more popular characters on it. Comic creator Robert Kirkman during the 2015 NBA Convention jokingly says they wouldn’t head in that direction because they don’t kill the popular ones in the show.
