There’s about a week before “The Originals” is back on the screen, and it’s probably a bit hard for fans to have forgotten that, as the producers have been making sure to keep everyone up to date about their schedule and the current developments on the set. And now, we’ve just seen a brand new promo for the upcoming 15th episode of season 2, which might see some very interesting developments in the plot.
It seems that Rebekah, played by Maisie Richardson-Sellers as a guest on the show, will run into a coven of angry witch forces, putting her in a situation where she has to join forces with Marcel, leading the two to discover that Rebekah’s current body has a bit of an interesting past behind it.
Meanwhile, Elijah, upon finding out that Rebekah’s life is in danger, sets out to find an old witch with a lot of reputation and respect among other witches, named Josephine, who might be able to help him out. The promo doesn’t say what will happen between Elijah and Josephine, and while most fans seem hopeful that the character will find a new temporary ally in the face of the old witch, there is also speculation that he might actually gain a new enemy in the process.
Klaus, Hayley and Jackson are in a disagreement about protecting baby Hope from Finn, and that will also be a central part of the new episode’s plot. The three each have their own ideas about how the baby should be kept safe, and they apparently clash with each other quite a lot, so it will be interesting to see how this plays out.
Freya might also finally get to see Mikael after all this time, after she persuades Finn to take her to him. Later on in the episode there will be a conflict between her, Elijah and Klaus though, which will prompt the two to question her trustworthiness. It’s clear that the relationships between many characters might begin to deteriorate in this episode, but hopefully this is just a temporary setback and won’t set any trends.
All in all, the next episodes of the show might turn out even more interesting than fans were anticipating. The producers of “The Originals” clearly have a very specific plan for the development of the show, and while sometimes fans are left scratching their heads and wondering why the story has taken a specific turn, it all makes sense in the long run. That’s actually what makes the show so fun to a large extent, as its story moves in a bit of an unpredictable pattern occasionally.
