What Will Star Wars: Battlefront 3 Take Away from Battlefield 4, and How Can Players Obtain the Pre-Alpha

It’s easy to trust DICE with a first-person shooter production, since this is basically the specialty of the company. They might not be known for anything else in particular, but when it comes to this genre, the company is easily one of the most prominent names. With the upcoming release of “Star Wars: Battlefront 3”, a lot of people have been following the game’s development closely, and there is certainly a lot of pressure on DICE to pull off a good release.

The recent release of “Battlefield 4” and the company’s subsequent developments in the franchise will definitely have an impact on the new “Star Wars”, but fans and critics alike have been wondering to what extent this will be noticeable. There are certainly some good things to take away from “Battlefield 4”, although the game also set some worrying trends for the development style of DICE. Fans have been hopeful that the company has learned its lessons from the mixed reception towards “Battlefield 4”, and know exactly what to do – and what not to do – with “Star Wars: Battlefront 3”.

One of the things that have been mentioned most often has been the pricing model of the game. This is more EA and not DICE, admittedly, but since EA are also handling the publishing of the new “Star Wars”, it’s a valid point. The way premium editions were handled had a bit of a negative impact on the community, and lead to fracturing in the worst possible places.

Additionally, EA have been forcing DICE to focus their attention on new territories in the development of “Battlefield”, which they haven’t been traditionally familiar with. The decision to include a single-player campaign has been met with much criticism, and has been seen as a transparent attempt to compete with “Call of Duty”, although rather unsuccessfully. Because in the end, “Battlefield” didn’t really manage to pull off a solid campaign according to most critics, not in its third installment, and definitely not in the fourth.

Star Wars Battlefront 3

So EA should stick to what DICE does best for “Star Wars: Battlefront 3”, and if they decide to push the game in a new direction, it should be one that fans have specifically expressed a desire for. There are certainly lots of things that have been requested from the franchise’s community lately, and discussion boards have been more active than ever. Also, rumors about potentially “hidden” ways for obtaining the pre-alpha of the game have been going around, although nothing has been confirmed yet. Of course, users looking for loopholes in the system should be wary of potentially malicious software, and stick to the official channels.
