When “Avengers: Age of Ultron” came out, some fans of the franchise felt like the film was a bit overdone in terms of superhero variety. It featured quite a lot of characters, even though some were not shown as prominently as others, and in the end some fans expressed a slight disappointment in the way the film turned out. Many would have apparently been happier with a smaller cast of superheroes but with more focus on each of them individually.
And now, “Captain America: Civil War” is likely going to push this trend even further, so those who didn’t like the style of “Age of Ultron” might want to skip this production entirely. Of course, it would be a bit too harsh to disregard the entire film based just on this single factor alone, but we certainly understand why some fans would feel more strongly about this.
Recent reports indicate that the new film is going to see Chris Evans getting back together with his shield and the rest of the Avengers team, grouping up for one epic showdown. We’re also going to see Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, Iron Man, Vision, War Machine… and many mother, including Agent 13 and Crossbones.
This is truly going to be an amazing film as far as its character diversity is concerned, and we’re very excited to see how the producers are going to handle having everyone in the story at the same time. We even heard rumors that the list is going to include Spider-Man and the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and that could make the production even more interesting.
In the new film, we’re going to see the characters divided into two groups due to a new government regulation, led by Iron Man on one side and Captain America on the other. We don’t know many specific details yet, but we did get a confirmation that Falcon will be fighting alongside Captain America. There was a recently shot scene showing a garbage truck headed at full speed towards The Institute of Infectious Disease, flipping over in the end.
This could add to the rumors that Baron Zemo will be involved in his own subplot where he’s threatening all of mankind with the release of a deadly virus. In addition, we’re hearing reports that Hayley Atwell will be coming back to reprise her role as Agent Carter. And then, we have another interesting rumor which is claimed to be coming straight from the set of the new film, although the source is a bit difficult to confirm.
