Even though there is little hope for an official declaration for season 3 this year, fans were eager to hear from FOX to at the least, confirm that the new season was indeed happening or not, which was recently revealed by the CEO of the company, thankfully.
Star Jason Patric has recently stated that fans should not get too emotionally affectionate towards the characters as everyone is expendable, especially with the violence that will inevitably occur. Even the main as well as the recurring characters, no one is completely safe.
Season 2 witnessed the introduction of a baby Abbie, which could signify that the beings are reproducing. This is bad news for everyone since this will increase their chances of being wiped out. Plus, fans saw the Abbies becoming more intelligent, meaning the humans may not even stand a chance.
However, before fans can even begin to start musing about how the story will go in the third season, Fox has to renew the series first. It is very well known that, while the first season was met with critical acclaim as well as high views, the second season did not do as well. Critics gave it mixed evaluations and the audience numbers alsoplummeted.
