Wayward Pines Season 2 Has Fans Wishing For More!

Wayward Pines is a television series that is based on the novels by Black Crouch and was supposed to only be a summer series that filled in while other shows were not on. The pilot was developed by M. Night Shyamalan and premiered on Fox back in March of last year. The show was only on for three months and fans thought that was going to be the end of it based on things that were said online.

That all changed when Fox realized that fans were really into the show and were hoping for a second season. With that in mind, the network took to the internet to announce that Wayward Pines was coming back for a second season half way through 2016. Wayward Pines stars Matt Dillon as a secret service agent in Wayward Pines, Idaho and he is investigating the death of two other agents. Dillon’s character quickly realizes that the residents in the town are held to a very strict set of rules applied by a sheriff that is played by Terrance Howard.

The rules are strict and for those that try to leave, they are met with punishment that includes death and is referred to as the “reckoning”. Dillon’s secret service role tries to figure out the truth behind it all and has to make some tough decisions in the meantime. The first season must have struck a cord with fans as they are buzzing on the internet while they wait for Wayward Pines Season 2 to start.

Some fans sites have taken to making lists of things they are hoping to see in the second season. Some of those things included getting revenge against the First Generation, others are hoping to see more of the Nurse Pam and Theresa even though the pair has been put into cryogenic sleep. If you did not watch the first season then you do not know that Matt Dillon’s character was killed, but that does not stop fans from hoping to see him in flashbacks and things like that.

Wayward Pines Season 2

Wayward Pines Season 2 will reportedly pick up right where season one left the viewers. The second season is expected to be ten episodes and still take place in the same location, with some of the same issues and residents still trying to battle against the First Generation. The second season will also bring on a brand new cast to the small town of Wayward Pines. This month, it was announced that Jason Patric will be playing the lead role, as Dr. Theo Yedlin. He joins the town in a time of suspended animation and gets thrown into the chaos right away, all while trying to learn the most he can about the town.
