Indeed, according to Irina Shayk, Ronaldo was less than a perfect boyfriend, and he eventually pushed her to the decision to break up. They were together for five years prior to separating, and that’s not a short period for a relationship, which made the breakup that much more surprising to the public. Shayk actually said that she once believed Ronaldo to have been the perfect man for her, but that eventually changed after being with him for some time.
The problem, according to Shayk, was that Ronaldo was constantly making her feel ugly and insecure, and all in all, she realized he was not the right man for her, and that was attributing to her own insecurities even more. She didn’t want to go into details about how exactly Ronaldo had been bringing her down, but there have been rumors from people surrounding the couple that claimed it was mostly a matter of occasional inappropriate comments.
Ronaldo himself seems to be already over the breakup, as he’s now rumored to be dating Lucia Villalon, a TV presenter. He doesn’t seem to be holding any grudges over his past relationship either, as he made a public statement after the breakup in which he wished his ex-girlfriend all the best in her future life.
What is Irina Shayk looking for in her perfect man? She claims that he has to be gentle, caring and a true gentleman, and not someone who constantly tries to bring her down. In addition, she described her perfect date as one that involves lots of food and champagne, which some found a bit odd given her elegant figure. Even models like her need to occasionally unwind with some tasty food though.
However, she doesn’t seem to have any new relationship going on right now, and she is mostly focusing on her own life for the time being. There is certainly nothing wrong with that either, as the model has been enjoying a lot of attention from her fans lately, and maybe now would be the right time to pay it back by being a bit more publicly open for a little while. Of course, as soon as she has a new boyfriend the headlines are likely going to explode about him, but so far there doesn’t seem to be any indication of that.
