Mewtwo is coming to “Super Smash Bros 4” soon, and the character is going to be introduced in the first “proper” DLC for the game, an announcement which obviously made many fans quite excited. And now, the DLC’s release is approaching – and players interested in getting the character into their own game should make sure that they don’t miss the March 31 deadline for signing up.
A player interested in the DLC can go to the Club Nintendo website, and register their copy of “Super Smash Bros” for the Nintendo 3DS, as well as “Super Smash Bros” for the Wii U, after which they will eventually get a code for Mewtwo in both versions of the game, once the character’s DLC has been released at some point in the spring.
And while this is the only way to get the DLC through a promotion, players who miss the March 31 deadline for whatever reason should still not worry – Mewtwo will also be available as paid DLC, and anyone interested in getting the character into their own game will be able to buy him. However, we have no idea how long the exclusive deal for those who obtained it through registering their games will last. It’s possible that purchasing the character is still required in order to get it permanently, but we can’t confirm the actual details yet.
Meanwhile, the top basketball team of the United States, the Kentucky Wildcats, have recently revealed that they’re crazy about “Super Smash Bros” on the Nintendo 64, and keep playing it all the time. The game is apparently a common element in the team’s breaks and road trips, and pretty much everyone on the team loves to play it.
And while the title is known for its competitive nature, the Wildcats actually stated that they find it a very relaxing experience, and they are usually looking forward to unwinding with a few rounds of “Super Smash Bros” at the hotel room. We don’t actually know if they’re also fans of the newest installment in the series though, but it’s highly likely, given the game’s overall popularity with the franchise’s fans.
As for “Super Smash Bros 4”, there have been rumors that we’ll soon see an announcement for even more DLC, and it may even be something more exciting than the Mewtwo package that’s coming out soon, but we don’t really have any idea what the new DLC could be. Most of the rumors talk about another character, while others are claiming some even more dramatic gameplay additions, but until we get an official confirmation from Nintendo, we won’t really know.
