The two actors also confirmed that Ragnar will not be among the major characters who will be dying in the second half of Season 4, which ultimately means that the King of Kattegat would still be part of the fifth season of the TV series when it airs next year.
Travis Fimmel actually revealed in the interview that King Ragnar is well and truly involved in “Vikings” Season 5. He said that he has been filming Ragnar Lothbrok scenes in the fifth season of “Vikings” since the San Diego ComicCon held in July.
After six months of hiatus, the second half of “Vikings” shall be returning next week on a new timeslot and day too.
It could be a strategy on the part of the History Channel but the mere return of “Vikings” Season 4 is more than enough to make its fans happy and excited.
The first half of the “Vikings” Season 4 featuring 10 episodes ended before the HBO hit series “Game of Thrones” Season 6 aired so the speculations then were saying that the former does not want to go head-to-head with the world’s most popular TV series.
However, even after the Season 6 finale of “Game of Thrones,” History Channel still did not air the second half of “Vikings” Season 4, spawning speculations that the TV series might have already been canceled.
